Then, dark side. We’d planned to talk Christmas, movies, pop-culture and a little politics with our next guest, James Hirsen. But then just hours before our interview, Nancy Pelosi took to the mic and announced that—despite Wednesday’s disastrous hearings with the highly partisan testimonies from the Democrats’ “constitutional experts”—the Democrats were lurching forward to draft articles of impeachment.

So, instead of talking Christmas we tap into James Hirsen wearing his attorney hat, and his recent articles of why the Democrats really should not want the impeachment to head to the Senate. Mr. Hirsen walks us through his analysis of how they’re moving forward in spite of the reality of no evidence.

And don’t miss his discussion on how President Trump’s almost off-hand inquiry about Ukraine having the Crowd Strike server may have been what really set off the latest impeachment attempt and why. Where is the server and why hasn’t it been turned over? Or destroyed like so many other pieces of hardware that had evidence on the Democrats?

Democrats in power are probably a little nervous about that.

Jerome Corsi: Impeachment and New Ukraine Revelations

Dr. Jerome Corsi successfully fought back against the Mueller probe by refusing to cooperate. The FBI had tried to get him to sign a “confession” that would have suborned perjury—just to get Trump. Yes. Our own Department of Justice wanted to break the law to try to convict Trump, who didn’t break the law.

But Corsi took a stand and said no. Now he’s fighting back and updates us on the status of his counter-suit against the FBI.

And then, in the middle of the Democrats Grand Impeachment, the news broke about indictments in Ukraine for corruption—by the Democrats, including Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and others. Perhaps even Adam Schiff. Are the Democrats about to face justice? Finally?

This Week: A look at the rise of “acceptable hate”: antisemitism. The world seems to have forgotten the Holocaust, because right now antisemitism is surging again in Europe. And lest you think this is merely “anti-Israel”, you need to know that Leftist politicians have been spotted in marches where shouts of “Hamas! Hamas! Jews to the gas!” have filled the streets.

How is this happening? And why?

Antisemitism: Big-Government Sponsored Hate

Big government demands conformity from its subjects. And uniformity. You must be part of the group and those outside the desired conformity, are labelled dissidents, and targeted for hate. And even removal. We’ve seen it before throughout history with the Holocaust but we’re seeing it again now in places like Hong Kong.

Surprisingly, we’re also seeing it from the Left right now in the EU and even right here in the U.S. It’s not just the Left’s embrace of socialism that’s worrying, it’s the fringe elements of hate: antisemitism. While not unique to the Left, hatred of Israel and, by extension, Jews, seems to have become almost mainstream within the Far Left.

This is deeply worrisome. Especially to someone whose parents lived through the Holocaust.

Why Antisemitism Matters

Because the rise of antisemitism gives rise to hate of all sorts. The snowball effect of hate spreads and it becomes mob hate – not just the hate of individuals but of hate directed to an entire race. The mob hate finds its way to those in power who begin to preach the politics of hate and the hatred of a race simply because of their existence.

This week, we’re pleased to welcome Dr. Evelyn Markus, an activist against antisemitism. An author and speaker, she is the hand behind Never Again is Now, a terrific film about not forgetting the lessons of the holocaust in the face of rising antisemitism in Europe and even right here at home

Never Again is Now

Dr. Markus’ parents lived through the worst of the politics of hate. After The Netherlands were conquered, the Jews—who had been welcomed and lived a quiet, wonderful life in The Netherlands—were targeted by the Nazis. Then, after what they thought were incidental acts of discrimination, the Jewish people realized too late that things were growing out of control. Forced to wear yellow stars affixed to their clothes and before long, entire families were loaded into trains without knowing where they were going. And it was too late to stop it.

And, cruelly, neighbors turned on neighbors. Even worse, collaborators turned in those in hiding or who might have escaped. Neighborhoods were emptied never to see many of their once friends, ever again.

Dr. Markus’ parents survived the Nazi occupation — miraculously escaping with their entire family intact when many of their friends had only a few family members survived or were wiped out altogether. Dr. Markus talks to us about her parents’ life, what it was like for them to go through it all, and the very real world of seeing how good people behaved when their lives were at stake. Some who you’d think would be brave crumbled, while others who hardly appeared destined for greatness, did great things.

Antisemitism on the Rise? Again?

But Dr. Markus’ story doesn’t end there. That’s really just the beginning. Her story is about her realization that—despite the shadow of WWII and so many personal stories of loss—that antisemitism was rearing its ugly head in Europe after 9/11. Things became so bad that she left Europe, only to realize it was spreading in her newly adopted homeland: the U.S.

There’s a scene in Star Trek III when the crew of the Enterprise have stolen the ship and they’re being pursued by the Excelsior, the newest, fastest ship in the Federation fleet. The Enterprise goes to warp and the Excelsior prepares to give chase—only to have the engines grind to a halt and come to a dead stop. Scotty turns to Dr. McCoy, hands him some bolts, and says, “Here, Doctor. From one surgeon to another. The more they overhaul the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.”

And that’s pretty much what happened to Oregon’s health care.

Oregon’s Health Care: What Happened?

What happened? In a word: Democrats. In their zeal to push Oregon into “universal health care,” also known as “single payer.” Or, more accurately, “socialized medicine.”

A Look Back at Oregon’s Health Care

This week, we’re joined by Lisa Lettenmaier, the owner and operator of Health Source Northwest. Lisa is our go-to expert for health care, especially the “unique aspects” of Oregon’s health care market, given our lurch toward socialized medicine.

Oregon’s Health Care System Transformation

In 2013, then-Oregon-Governor John Kitzhaber, a huge proponent of single-payer/universal health care/socialized medicine introduced a grand plan for Oregon’s health care. It was generally known (in typical socialist lingo) as “Oregon’s health system transformation.”

Kitzhaber convinced Obama to spend billions on this new innovative health care system that was going to transform health care as we know it: improve care and lower costs. You read that correctly. We spent billions to lower costs.

It introduced regional monopolies known as “coordinated care organizations” (CCOs). This, despite studies that repeatedly shown that ACOs (associated care organizations, as they are known in Obamacare) do not save money. And do not improve care.

Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations

To set up these monopolies, they introduced legislation to bypass antitrust laws, violating the free market. The Oregon Health Authority (nice name, Nazis!) became the overseer of all things health. And the bureaucracies. Multiple layers of bureaucrats between you and your doctor. All of whom end up on Oregon’s PERS. A global budget that removed the ability to track monies allocated per patient. (Because that wouldn’t ever lead to abuse, grift, and corruption.) And a never-before seen cap on Medicare and Medicaid.

Basically, CCOs violated every free-market principle that would lower costs and improve care.

And, sadly, Oregon Republicans helped pass it. Yes, Republicans. How did this happen?

Useful Idiots: Oregon’s Republicans

Basically, the transformation was sold to gullible Republicans under the guise of “saving money” and “local control.” After the fact, they were “surprised” that this turned out to be a big giant push toward socialized medicine.

In reality, it shouldn’t have surprised any of them. Why? Because on the first page, the first paragraph of the bill it clearly said, “It is the intention of the Legislative Assembly to achieve the goals of universal access.” Yes. Universal health care. Single payer. No private health care. The finest that Venezuela has to offer.

True Stories of Socialized Medicine

Here’s a reminder: no democrat running for president has ever lived under socialism. Not one. That’s right. None of them have ever lived under universal health care. And yet Bernie and Warren and several others are pushing for both socialism and universal health care.

Know what’s funny? Have you noticed that when people in those universal health care systems run into trouble, they go to where there isn’t a universal health care system? Instead, they come here to the U.S. rather than waiting weeks or months for treatment.

Well, not everyone. Just the rich. And the politicians.

This week: To many political observers, the Democrats have done the proverbial “jump the shark” by relentless pushing a fake impeachment before even all the facts are known. And once again, they’re relying on their triad of allies: disinformation, the Democrat “mainstream media”, and the ill-informed everyday voters (thanks to disinformation and the Democrat mainstream media).

But why? Why rush into a fake impeachment when they know it will fail in the senate? And why did their much vaunted “whistle blower” suddenly panic over a benign phone call between two presidents? One word: Ukraine.

Ukraine: Ground Zero of Corruption and Collusion

To understand why the Democrats pulled the trigger, you have to understand the panic behind what happened on the Ukraine phone call. We talk with John Solomon, formerly of The Hill and now a Fox News contributor, about the origins of the Ukraine corruption.

It starts with Obama and Biden in the wake of the 2014 Ukraine uprisings. We talk with John Solomon about the Obama administration’s odd maneuvers, essentially creating the perfect storm — not to fight corruption but for corruption. Including setting up an anti-corruption bureau that became the cloak for corruption.

Another Deep State Ploy?

One of the more interesting stories John Solomon has exposed was a secretive meeting at the Obama-Biden White House. Biden had invited the top Ukrainian prosecutors to the White House to discuss corruption.

But what it turned into was actual corruption: White House official urging the Ukraine prosecutors to drop their investigation into Burisma. And to re-open a dormant corruption case into a a political operative who would later be pushed into the Trump campaign. We talk it over with John Solomon and the follow up with John Kiriakou. Was this yet another example of guilt engineering? Much like we’ve seen with George Papadopoulos. (and as John Kiriakou himself experienced.)

As we researched this week’s show and the collusion and corruption centered around Ukraine, it became abundantly clear we are at the mere tip of the tip of the iceberg. Ukraine as Impeachment Trigger

The Democrats’ actions aren’t reasonable or normal in the wake of what happened. Trump is looking into corruption. And for that they want to impeach him?

The Democrat’ actions can only be explained by sheer panic and desperation. Why are they so panicked over a phone call about corruption. If there was corruption by Joe Biden, shouldn’t they want to get to the bottom of things?

Instead, they’ve turned this into Trump allegedly abusing the power of his office by going after a political opponent.

It begs the question: just how many Democrats were profiting off the corruption in Ukraine?

The Ukraine Whistle Blower

Here’s what other sites have said about the whistle blower. He’s a Biden operative. He was formerly fired by the White House for leaking. Not to mention spreading false stories about Putin ordering Trump to do things. He is a registered democrat. And his name is Eric Ciaramella.

We talk with an actual whistle blower, John Kiriakou, about the Democrats secret whistle blower. John actually went to jail over his whistle blowing, as a patriot. You can imagine John has a lot to say about this guy who has been sniping from the deepest shadows of the Deep State.

This Week: There are many breaking news stories this week that center on the Flynn case and those who were in power that manipulated events, and then the messaging, to create illusions through storytelling techniques. It’s in the same vein of Disinformation, which we’ve recently covered. This week we take a break from all the breaking news of the Russian collusion hoax, except for one thing, how storytelling is usually won by the far-left.

Using Storytelling Techniques over Facts

People love a good story and if it’s presented well and is intriguing, it becomes believable. To the point that stories can become more believable (and certainly more memorable) than the reality.

Is this why mainstream media stories have taken on the fascination of a reality TV show? They’re staged with heroes and villains in ways that borrow from storytelling techniques to make their version of the story more believable than the facts themselves. Like Trump and Ukraine quid pro quo.

Hollywood: Epicenter of Storytelling

The political Left does this with far more skill than the Right. Hollywood certainly knows this with the billions they make off of storytelling. And that’s where they get you twice, because many times when news stories become too much reality TV, folks turn to “entertainment” as a way to escape—only to be listening to storytelling that often goes against their beliefs and values.

Hollywood has created a vacuum of messaging when Christians allowed the Far Left to take control and stopped going to movies (like who can blame them?), which allowed Hollywood to gravitate to their liberal counterparts in politics and the media.

Going over the Walls: The Chosen

But as in the story of David and Goliath, small nuggets of Christian storytelling continued to rise through the noise. And Christians are finding ways around the Hollywood paradigm. Enter Dallas Jenkins—director of the series, The Chosen—who raised $10 million dollars online, the largest amount ever from online crowd-sourcing for a film series.

The Chosen is a tremendous series about the life of Jesus told from a unique perspective. Staying out of Hollywood’s normal methods for creating and distributing a film, Mr. Jenkins went directly to the people, who in turn stood up to support this incredible project. And it paid off.

The Chosen: Breaking Down Barriers

With the funding he needed, Jenkins created a stunning series with all of the production value you’d see in even more expensive projects, like Amazon’s Jack Ryan series. Created as a multi-season series, the first four episodes are now free to view if you go to thechosen.tv, where you can download it as an app, watch it on your laptop, or stream to your TV.

Hirsen: Why Hollywood Targets Christians

Then we welcome back James Hirsen, who continues the discussion of the different ways filmmakers, that Hollywood studios don’t support, are using to get their storytelling into the mainstream. He discusses the shift in the way stories will reach consumers in this evolving technical world—and how the far-left has been able to maximize their hold on Hollywood, through culture and lifestyle.

Hollywood and The Left’s Censorship

But with all these fascinating stories and their end-around on Hollywood, there is a deeper movement by the Far Left to censor the political Right and especially Christians. Censorship is the new weapon in their attacks. We’ve already by Democrat candidates like Kamala Harris to actually censor the President of the United States from Twitter, (which would force him to use the Leftist media to try to talk to the American people.

Make no mistake. This is not mere “persuasion” attempts. This is a genuine effort to silence opposition of the Left. (See every socialist and communist nation ever.) And the Left and Hollywood are getting support for their censorship from an unlikely place.

Disinformation in Action

We’ll start by discussing the current disinformation campaign: the latest attack on Donald Trump to ‘re-frame” him as a traitor to his country rather than what he is, a patriot fighting the corruption that runs so deep in our own government.

But people who are about to be exposed are going to fight back. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing now. But the question is, who is running this?

Applied Disinformation

When it comes to policy, there’s probably no greater example of applied disinformation than Climate Change. Why? Because it’s based on falsehood that’s not easily disproved. But wait, there’s more.

We talk with Jonathan Williams, the chief economist at ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council. First, we start with some typical disinformation when it comes to economics. For example, economic policies that sound like they should be true but aren’t. Like “if we raise taxes, the state will get more money.”

Global Warming: the Biggest Disinformation Campaign of All Time

Climate Change, formerly “global warming,” formerly “global cooling,” is a prime example of a hoax masquerading, through the tools of disinformation, as a legitimate science. With the tools from our first guest, you’ll recognize how and why it’s all a giant disinformation campaign.

But you’ll also hear how this disinformation becomes the basis of damaging economic policy. Like California not touching the forests (that are now burning) and pushing through “green energy” instead of common-sense energy programs. And you’ll hear how it violates common economic principles via government control.

Government control is only a good thing when it’s about controlling government.

Good Time for Good News

This Week: Over the past few months we’ve been able to experience what President Trump has done for our courts, especially the 9^th Circuit. There have actually been decisions made in the past few weeks that support things like, oh you know, the rule of law.

With just that one amazing change, Trump may finally be able to make a decision without being hauled into court, as the Left tries any trick to try stop. And this subtle but important change means we can look at some of the new rules knowing they may actually be enacted.

Good News for the Endangered Species Act

One of those are incredibly important changes he’s made to the Endangered Species Act. And, naturally, what’s being reported about simple changes that could lead to actual recovery of these species is being mis-reported that it will destroy a “vitally needed” government program.

This act that was to save animals from extinction because the money resource for far-left organizations who abused it through their sue-and-settle actions. Rather than trying to protect animals from harm they wanted to raise funds by suing while having prelimary agreements from Deep State bureaucrats to happily ensure the government would lose its case so that they could pay out high and outrageous attorney fees back to them. A legal loop hold that until recently was handing over millions to pro-environmental-anti-human groups.

With that atrocious practice eliminated, we turn our focus to the changes Trump’s administration has actually made to the ESA and its new benefits to species and to landowners. Dr. Zybach walks us through what he’s seen in how the landowner is now empowered to help with the ESA and why that’s a good thing.

Also, don’t miss his personal encounter with the Endangered Species Act, Oregon’s “other Spotted Owl”, the Marbled Murrelet. It’s a good example of abuse by the scientific community and what happens when you sacrifice science on the altar of politics. Then we turn to Hollywood, the last place we expected to see good news this week and talk with James Hirsen about one star of pop culture who is making a dramatic change —to Christian music.

Kanye West, who recently became a born-again Christian, has a new album coming out in September. Mr. Hirsen walks us through Kanye and his wife, Kim Kardashian, have a tremendous impact on pop culture and why the Far Left may push back against them. Or just flat out turn on them. Because, you know, kids listening to an enlightened and positive message is clearly so dangerous.

We also have a momentary dip into the darker side of Bernie Sanders who wants population control because of (drum roll) global warming. He wants to sacrifice life to save us from death, sigh.

But we only stay on the dark side for a little bit and quickly turn back to some more good news—the newest Christian movie, Overcomer, and its powerful message.

This week, it’s all good fun, and uplifting, except for Bernie’s message. But then again, when is anything socialist ever good news?

What is it that AOC has been championing? Oh yes, we have 12 years to live. And while some of us are old enough to remember four previous “we only have 10 years to do something” events, she’s a good marketer because millennials are so terrified of global warming, they’ve been actually committing suicide over it.

Seriously.

It would be funny if it weren’t so sadly true.

Officialdom of Global Warming Scaremongering

One reason people take this nonsense of Global Warming seriously is because of official reports, like the UN Special Report on Global Warming, released in October, 2018. If you look through it, there it is: 2030 as doomsday. Just 11 years from now as the point of no return—if we keep on our current path and don’t do something. And it’s mentioned 35 times in the report.

So, is it marketing? Or scientific research?

Mann’s Vaunted Hockey Stick

Back in July, we had Dr. Tim Ball on I Spy Radio to discuss American exceptionalism. After our interview, Dr. Ball gave us a heads-up about some fake numbers and scaremongering the IPCC were releasing to prop up their global warming alarmism. We penciled him in for early September.

But then something amazing happened. Because during our wait to have him back on, he won a huge, HUGE court decision on the defamation lawsuit brought by Michael Mann, the hockey stick inventor. The hockey stick that has become the “proof” of global warming.

Hockey Stick or Science Schtick?

Dr. Ball had been sued because he’d taken Mann’s science to task and Mann, not appreciating anyone daring to doubt his science schtick, decided to sue Dr Ball over defamation.

But there was a problem when Dr. Ball asked for Mann’s evidence. Mann wouldn’t deliver the computer program he’s used to interpret the numbers to arrive at his conclusions.

A scientist who didn’t want to reveal his data? Or his methods? That’s a violation of a basic tenant of science: always show your work so others can independently verify it. Instead, Mann cried that his “proprietary information” couldn’t be revealed. Basically, Mann had created his own secret version of Microsoft Excel to interpret the data. No wonder then that no one else has been able to come up with the same results using the same data.

And that’s why it’s not so much a hockey stick as hockey schtick.

But it makes you wonder. If a scientist doesn’t want to reveal his data, is he a scientist? Or a marketer? Or a marketer pretending to be a scientist?

And ask yourself this. Why would Mann create falsified evidence of something that didn’t exist — unless he stood to profit from it?

And what’s really exciting? Dr. Ball’s win may have saved the world from this ongoing hoax.
