A State that Actually USES its Natural Resources?

About five years ago I Spy jealously watched states whose government was working for the people — especially considering the mess Oregon was in: implementing Obamacare, the CCO’s, PERS, and other devastating public costs, while ignoring an obvious source of revenue. Timber.  So, we wanted to see what other states were doing to succeed, and how they were keeping their state in the black.

We were fortunate to have our research come upon Vicky Steiner, who was at that time working in the oil industry, as North Dakota was experiencing a real economic boom.  Vicky told us about the fast-paced growth spurt they were experiencing and what the state’s leadership was doing to improve their state’s future by providing important infrastructure and designing a savings plan that tucked away millions in the state coffers should there be a downturn.

Now, five years later, we have Vicky Steiner back to update us on where they are as a state and how using their natural resources has paid off.  Due to their careful planning, North Dakota has weathered the downturn when the oil prices dropped and production slowed.  Under President Trump and the U.S. actually exporting oil, along with prices rising, Vicky discusses how they are now expanding their oil fields but have become so much more efficient in their production because they invested in new and better technologies.

Meanwhile, Oregon’s Congressional representatives are asking Ryan Zinke not to allow drilling off of Oregon’s coast.

Sigh.

A Surprise for Everyone

Not only did they use their success to develop better, more efficient production techniques, they also built partnerships with responsible environmental groups who helped to ensure oil production was friendly to their treasured land.  Something that Oregon’s vast forest, that burn or rot because they are not managed and logged, could benefit from its own legislative leadership.

Could what they have learned be a roadmap for Oregon to begin using their own natural resources?

Illegal Immigration

Two brand new illegals
Two brand new illegals. Notice how clean and well-dressed these Hondurans are. All ready for their new (illegal) lives in America

Then we go south to San Diego and welcome border security activist and retired Master Sergeant, Jeff Schwilk.  Jeff has strong and great insights into what is currently occurring on the border.  He describes his experiences of what happens in communities near a border that brings illegal immigrants into their communities — and into their local voting booths.

Jeff discusses what he’s recently seen and some of the gaps on the border wall/fence during his tour with a border security team. Jeff tells us his thoughts on President Trump’s recent position on DACA and explains what he feels needs to happen to get to a workable final deal as he offers his ideas and what his anti-amnesty colleagues are pushing for.  These are important insights from people who live smack in the middle of the immigration issues that you won’t want to miss.

Illegal immigrant invaders
From Jeff’s email — to us, these are clearly illegal immigrant invaders

They don’t want DACA, they don’t want a “deal”, they want our country!  They are demanding that we leave our borders wide open for all their relatives to sneak in.  (see attached recent photo and new email from them below).  They have now taken over the entire Democrat party who is terrified to stand up to them.  Now they have their sights set on weak-kneed and open border Republicans, of which there are far too many, through their increasing demands and hostile actions.

They meet the very definition of foreign terrorists or insurgents on our soil.  The enemy within.  The Reconquista is real and these foreign aliens can taste it, not just in California where they have have nearly taken over state and many local governments, but now they want the whole U.S. for their “raza” and revenge against America.

No DACA, no Dream Act, no amnesty.  Enforce our Laws and Secure our Homeland first!

This Week: Big government will always become corrupt. Statistically speaking, it’s impossible not to be corrupt, given the flawed nature of human beings. But even by Big Government standards, the FBI corruption is almost unimaginable.

I Spy’s tag line, Keeping an Eye on Big Government, was chosen because we see big government as the root of the problems with America—and the quintessential roadblock to prosperity and freedom. Too many bureaucrats unanswerable to the public; policies and laws that stand in the face of liberty. But a big government also provides “safe spaces” for those who want to hide and secretly corrupt the system.  We’re watching that live and up close as secretive and hidden tweets reach daylight or frightened whistleblowers come forward to provide breathtaking glimpses into the world of corruption.

Men and women who work in law enforcement agencies like the FBI and DOJ, depend upon one another to protect their backs as they go out to fight the good fight of protecting the citizenry and our Constitution.  Then there are the bad actors, the elites and insiders who have different rules to live by.  But the consequences of the power hungry endanger us all.

That’s what we as a nation are facing right now as the unmasking of real corruption continues.

Our guest this week, attorney and author David T. Hardy has seen agencies go after and destroy good people.  His book, I’m from the Government and I’m Here to Kill You: The True Human Cost of Official Negligence perfectly ties in with what we have experienced with the IRS and Lois Lerner—and now the FBI and DOJ.

Mr. Hardy, who spent ten years in the Dept. of Interior and twenty years studying how government becomes corrupted, focuses on the damage these rogue agents are doing on the very agencies we used to trust. He describes the culture in these law enforcement agencies and how trained personnel, who are highly sophisticated sleuths, keep an eye on those who want to be whistleblowers.

This week we explore whether Jeff Sessions has been compromised and the evidence that might indicate he has. But could there be other reasons for his silence? We look at the poison of the FBI and how it’s spreading to other agencies, the effect on public trust and on the Justice System itself. We talk the missing-now-found FBI texts, the “secret society” and a different take on the “insurance policy.”

There are answers to solving the corruption but getting to those solution will not be an easy road. Listen this weekend to find out what government needs to do to clean up these problems—and when you hear what we’re up against, you’ll be more thankful than ever that Hillary didn’t win.

Welcome to another edition and another year of I Spy Radio — helping you to get a little more intelligence on big govt. If this is your first time joining us, a special welcome to you as we kick off a new year. We hope you’ll join us every week as we give you more intelligence in one hour than most shows do in three.

This week

The first part of a two-part series focused on natural resources. And there is some good news on that front—for once.

Speak Life 2018

But before we get to the natural resources portion, our first guest is Jeff Jimerson, founder of Oregon Life United and lead petitioner to stop taxpayer funded abortions in Oregon.  To help get the word out on this signature initiative, his organization is bringing Mike Huckabee to Oregon, January 21st and 22nd.

We talk to Jeff about whether it’s true or not that Oregon has no pro-life laws to protect the unborn. No parental notification, no limits?  And then don’t miss the information on Gov. Huckabee’s visit to Oregon at their Speak Life 2018 event—and that’s not all.  This group has some exciting plans coming up, so we’ll be having Jeff back on to give updates as plans come to fruition.

Progressive politicians are wrong if they think free abortions for all is a winning strategy. Especially for today’s youth. Polls show an overwhelming majority of today’s youth are pro-life. Why? Because they’re the sonogram generation. They grew up at a time mom came home from the doctor with sonogram pictures and say, “See? This is your baby brother or this is your baby sister. Here’s the head… Here’s her arm…” They know that’s a baby in there, not some “blob of tissue.”

Pebble Mine

Then we switch hats to focus on natural resources something environmentalists have fought against for years.  But what these extremists don’t understand is that being an environmentalist doesn’t mean we can’t touch natural resources, it’s more about how you treat the lands and the people when you do harvest resources.

The Pebble Mine. Just waiting for permit approvalWe head back to Bristol Bay, Alaska, to talk about one of the most richest mineral deposits in the world: the Pebble Mine project.  A mine that has been put on hold for years as the Obama administration refused to even allow the permitting process to begin.

Long-time listeners of I Spy will remember that Pebble Partnership was forced to sue the EPA to give them same rights as any other mining company and discovered that the EPA had been conspiring with environmental groups to stop the Pebble Mine from ever submitting a permit application.

Now with the Trump administration in place the EPA has allowed the permitting process to begin, a process that will take years to finalize.  And with a growing economy, America will need the gold, copper, and other minerals of Pebble Mine to build computers, cell phones, and other essentials that we use daily in our lives.

Winning against Environmentalists

But it’s more than just Pebble Mine. Tune in to hear how after years of shutting down and, dare we say, terrorizing industry, the extreme environmentalists are on the defensive.  It’s about time. Don’t miss to hear how the extremists are “old school” and their fear-mongering is out of touch with modern-day approaches to natural resources.

And don’t miss next week’s show as we continue our focus on natural resources: Could there be some hope for Oregon?

The One Simple Question Republicans Need to Ask about Tax Reform

Show Summary: This week’s show is all about tax reform. Yeah, we know. You think that’s boring. But the fight over tax reform is really about the fight for the soul of America. We talk with Jonathan Williams of ALEC to get to the truth a dose of reality about the good, bad, and ugly about the Republican tax reform plan. And it really comes down to one simple question we all should ask.

As Trump supporters we’ve been anticipating the swamp will try anything to stop President Trump’s attempts to reform Washington and drain the swamp.  And what we’ve witnessed are spineless Republicans who, instead of charging up the hill behind President Trump they are cowering in the trenches or worse, working to undermine his plans.

It’s a simple question: do you want to create wealth for people or for government? But what we’re seeing right now are Republicans who are tentative about creating a simple and straightforward — and bold! — tax reform system that would grow wealth for people. Could it be because they are more attached to their power and are afraid to shrink government?

Because in the back of your mind, you should always be asking, “Whose side are they on? The taxpayer or the government—and their own career in Congress?”

New Questions: Las Vegas Shooter and Police Response

Show Summary: A lot of questions still remain about the mass killing in Las Vegas. Not least of these are questions about the Las Vegas shooting police investigation itself—especially questions about the new timeline. Why such significant changes? We also talk with NY Times bestselling author, David T. Hardy, about his just-released book, I’m from the Government and I’m here to Kill You: The The True Human Cost of Official Negligence . Why aren’t government officials held accountable? Why can’t they be held accountable.

Doug Wyllie: Las Vegas Shooting Police Investigation

In the immediate aftermath of the killing in Vegas, the authorities seemed fairly sure of two things. The timeline of the shooting and the FBI was certain the shooter had no ties to terrorism. Which was odd because they were also certain they knew practically nothing about him. Except that he wasn’t a terrorist.

If you heard last week’s I Spy Radio show, “The Las Vegas Shooting — Former Jihadist Reveals what FBI & Media are Ignoring,” you know there is a lot of circumstantial evidence that the FBI and law enforcement ought to be looking at that could show ties to terrorism. And isn’t the goal to prevent these from happening again? So why ignore possible ties? As Kamal pointed out, you don’t have to be a member of ISIS—or even a be a Muslim—to receive support and training from ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood, or any Islamic terrorist group.

As we also pointed out last week, the FBI’s logical inconsistency (we know nothing at all about him but we’re sure he’s not a terrorist) raises questions about the FBI and about the investigation. Why would they do that?

To help us better understand the Las Vegas shooting police investigation, we turn to Doug Wyllie, the editor-at-large of PoliceOne, the most comprehensive and trusted online destination for law enforcement agencies and police departments worldwide.

To be clear, We’re not being critical of local law enforcement, we just want to analyze and better understand the process, especially when it comes to communications and releasing information to the public. Especially about the new and revised timeline for the Las Vegas shooting.

There is a huge difference between a security guard interrupting the shooting and a security guard showing up before it ever even started. Not least of which because it raises an entirely new question: why did he stop shooting?

Be sure to visit PoliceOne.com. They have some great articles for law enforcement article and for civilians, like what can and should you do during a mass shooting? See the links and resource section below for just a few of the more timely ones.

David Hardy: Why is Government Never Accountable?

Here at I Spy Radio, our tagline is “Keeping an eye on big government.” And pretty much since day one we’ve wondered why is it that some government bureaucrat can completely screw up — but never be held accountable. In the private sector, if you waste a billion dollars you’d probably get fired. In government, you’re promoted. What the…?

Except it’s worse than overspending. Way worse.

It turns out our government has not only wastefully spent our tax dollars, got us deeply into debt, created massive programs that fail time and again but they have actually killed people. In some cases, outright murder. And yet those responsible didn’t even see jail time.

Our second guest, NY Times bestselling author, David T. Hardy, has a new book out, I’m from the Government and I’m here to Kill You: The The True Human Cost of Official Negligence . We get his thoughts on the government officials and the FBI handling the Las Vegas shooting police investigation. He outlines not only why government officials aren’t held accountable but why can’t they be held accountable.

Think about that. Our government bureaucrats have set up the court systems to legally shield themselves from responsibility—no matter how irresponsible they are.

We now have a government of the people and for the people, just not responsible to the people.

But there are some solutions. Tune in to find out what.

This Week: Illegal immigration has once again become the focus for the mainstream media.  And, as usual, rather than reporting on what’s actually happening, they are instead attempting to make President Trump look as if he’s turned his back on campaign promises.  But the real shock of it all is the President Trump wants Congress to do their job, such as come up with an answer for the DACA kids. It is shocking that President Trump has to reach out to Democrats to try to kick the Republicans into gear.

Given that Paul Ryan and the Republicans are blocking what they all said was a Republican agenda of border security, immigration reform, building the wall, tax reform, repeal and replace —it’s not the Republican agenda that needs fixed, it’s these Republicans. It’s becoming more clear by the day that there are many Congressional members who have forgotten why they were voted in.

More Immigration Shenanigans

First up is Brendan Kirby,  Senior Political Reporter for Laura Ingraham’s online magazine, Lifezette (lifezette.com).  If Lifezette isn’t part of your daily news cycle it needs to be. Otherwise you’re missing out on all their great reporting that many in the media won’t do.  Brendan has three articles this week all focused on immigration.

Tune in to hear how Congress’s sleight of hand will use a spending bill to sneak through an  immigration increase rider.  Brendan also discusses how the illegal crossings have risen each of the past four months and why that’s happening.  Then his third article is the most shocking: 55 colleges in the US who have lost their accreditation are still allowed to issue student visas.Paul Nehlen defeating Paul Ryan

Then we talk with Paul Nehlen (paulnehlen.com or electnehlen.com), Republican primary opponent to Paul Ryan, who is now the major roadblock to President Trump’s agenda.  Mr. Nehlen talks to us about his insights of what happened back in the 2016 primary election and some of the nefarious actions by Paul Ryan, which somehow managed to escape media scrutiny.

Ryan is a roadblock to what Republicans say they want. Like the wall and protecting the border. By the way, did you see the ridiculous “pro-border wall” music video Paul Ryan did? Talk about #FakeNews. (Check it out here.)

Paul Nehlen will discuss with us how Paul Ryan has not only kept the roadblocks in place but what Ryan has also done back home in his district to stay in office.  Mr. Nehlen exposes Paul Ryan’s own sleight of hand and what he’ll need to do pull a win out from under Ryan.

Would you like to help defeat Paul Ryan to remove him as a roadblock?  Yes, those in Oregon can help.  Listen to find out how and what help he needs to beat Ryan. And wouldn’t that be sweet…?

If Oregon’s do-nothing, let-it-burn policy of environmental destruction angers you, take it out on your representatives — state and federal. See this take action page for suggestions on what to do and how to contact them.

Original Air Dates: Sept 9 & 10, 2017 | Dr. Bob Zybach

There are currently over 300,000 acres of Oregon forest fires—and the vast majority didn’t need to happen. This week, Dr. Zybach explodes the environmental myths that have led to these devastating fires.

To find out the how and why the Oregon forest fires are out of control, we talk to Dr. Bob Zybach who not only did his dissertation on wildfires but has over 25 years of practical forest management as a reforester.  He predicted out -of-control forest fires as far back as 30 years ago and discusses with us how the environmental policies and practices have no basis at all in science or even common sense. As proof, none of the Oregon forest fires currently burning are on land he replanted. Good, sound management works.

Listen in to find out the facts—where these fires are burning and why there. You’ll be surprised at the amazing answer to where they are not burning.

Tune in to hear the economic devastation of the Oregon forest fires, including the jaw-dropping loss of income and jobs from not being able to help rebuild Houston or Florida, the insane messaging from the far-left as they try to find a way to justify these fires (see Willamette Week’s stupidity of how the Columbia River Gorge Wildfire could Help Wildlife “Flourish”), and now the pressure we must put on our state and federal government TO STOP THIS NONSENSE.

Take Action. Prevent more Oregon Forest Fires!

It’s time to change policies. Now.  This show will give you plenty of ammunition to contact your representatives at the state and local levels to demand change.

Angry? Ready to do something? Then take out your anger on your state and federal representatives.

White Supremacists Compromise Republican Computers

Just imagine if three brothers and two of their wives were all members of a White supremacist group and that these five managed the IT for dozens of Republican Congressmen. Even more damning, that the Republicans sat on some of the most powerful committees, including the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the Homeland Security Committee, and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. These committees handle extremely sensitive, classified information, including national security information. Imagine if one of the Republicans caught up in the scandal was Reince Priebus, the former chair of the Republican National Committee.

Now imagine if those White supremacists had access to all of those Republicans’ emails, sent and received (including emails sent to and from other Republicans, the White House, and the RNC). Imagine if those White supremacists had access to everything on their computers. Not just emails but documents and files, databases, addresses, strategies, and more.

Would it concern you if, for some reason, they were among the Hill’s highest paid staff—despite the fact some of them never showed up for work? Would that raise flags? Or how about if they had huge financial problems, including several questionable real-estate deals and a more than a million dollar bankruptcy? Or that one of them had received a $100,000 loan from a Russian politician? A Russian politician who was currently a fugitive from the US Justice system?

And what if the laptops of Reince Priebus had been seized by the Capitol police. And yet, despite the five of them being banned from the House IT system, despite the shady finances, Preibus refused to fire them. Wouldn’t that be a little suspicious that he wouldn’t fire them?

Deep State Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Dems have a major IT scandal that no one is talking about

This is exactly what happened — except instead of White supremacists, they were Pakistani Muslims. Instead of Republicans, it was dozens of House Democrats. Instead of a Russian politician, it was an Iraqi politician. And instead of Reince Priebus, it was Debbie Wasserman Schulz.

Now what could DWS possibly have on her computers that she wouldn’t want others to see?

We talk with Luke Rosiak of The Daily Caller about his incredible investigative articles into the story the media continues to ignore. Why are they ignoring it and what could be behind all of this? Is it part of the Deep State? Perhaps blackmail?

See below for links to Luke’s fascinating stories on the Democrats’ IT scandal. Don’t miss the video of Debbie Wasserman Schultz confronting the Chief of the Capitol Police as she desperately tries to get her laptop back.

The Deep State

Then we turn to a former deep-cover FBI Special Agent, John Ligato, who has an excellent article on LifeZette.com, “Former FBI Agent: Deep State Exists and Is Trying to Bring Down Trump.”

This former Special Agent walks us through the formation of the Deep State (aka “Shadow Government”) and its origins, and how it’s been perpetrated. He gives us his insights, as an investigator and analyst, who the players are and their motives.

There are two kinds of players: active players and unwitting accomplices. Mr. Ligato walks us through the FBI’s culture, the players, its origins, and the decisions that how the Deep State has been able to undermine our President from within.  Don’t miss how the Deep State is being used and if it can be stopped.

Do both of these stories have blackmail at their heart? Be sure to tune in to hear one of our most gripping shows yet.

Oregon’s Gurgling Drain | Never Ending Spending

Show Summary: If you haven’t been paying attention, the Democrats are running amok with your money. Find out their plans and how—and why—Oregon is sinking to the bottom in state competitiveness. Perhaps it has to do with their never ending spending spree? Actually, it’s a bit more than that.

This week we’re looking at the never-ending spending spree of the Oregon legislature.   We’re already facing a $1.8 billion hole and, naturally, that pushes the D’s to try and find new and inventive ways to tax Oregonians.  Like letting the camel get its nose in the tent, they are trying to find new ways to push a sales tax while calling it something else.

If you haven’t been paying attention, you’ll be shocked to hear what the Democrats are doing and looking to spend — despite being in the hole already. Do Oregon legislators think they have a bottomless checkbook?

Democrats Obama and spending
Years of democrats and their spending spree have doubled our national debt

That’s the question we discuss with our guests.  First up is Rep. Knute Buehler, Bend, OR, a fiscal conservative who has problems with the spending that he has seen at the legislature.  Right now, Oregon has enough Republicans on board to stop the Democrats from passing a spending bill but it’s tight with only a one vote margin of error.  Listen to find out what we can expect on taxes and debt coming out of this legislative cycle.

Then we talk with Jonathan Williams of ALEC to find out what states are fiscally under control and maybe even growing their economy compared to those who are doing it wrong.  There are some surprises, except for Oregon, which has slipped in the rankings once again.  Tune in to find out why and what we could do to right the ship.To use this, copy all, use “add new” button at the top, paste. We often call Oregon “the Petri Dish” for the Left. If they can pass it here, they’ll try it somewhere else. We’re an experimental lab for Leftist policies.

This is especially true of the Second Amendment. But recently the attack has been ramped up. The focus of this week’s show is SB-719A, a gun confiscation bill that was passed out of the judiciary committee and on to the senate, where it is likely to pass — unless common sense Oregonians stop it by contacting their senators now. It is due for a vote this Monday, May 1st!

Oregon’s Gun Confiscation Bill: SB 719A

Sen. Brian Boquist, a Republican from Western Oregon, sponsored SB-868. But it met with such a huge public outcry they copied and pasted it into SB 719 (hence the “A”) in a process typically called “gut and stuff.”

SB 719A would create a so-called “Extreme Risk Protection Order” (ERPO) at the request of family member or household member—or even a law enforcement officer. All they need to do is claim the other person is a “risk” to themselves or others. Get this:

  • The order can be obtained ex parte, meaning the defendant can have their guns taken away without even being in court
  • The court order can be obtained without any allegations of criminal behavior
  • A person can have their rights taken away simply based on someone else’s “feelings” that the defendant might be a danger to themselves or another person—either now or in the “foreseeable future.”

The Show

We talk with David Keene, former president of the NRA and currently the Opinion Editor of the Washington Times about this terrible bill and how you can lose your rights with no due process.

Tune in to hear how “compassion” led a Republican senator to sponsor this bill and get it through committee. Tune in to hear how he was used by the anti-gun lobby. Tune in to hear how Oregon’s gun grab bill will allow a family or household member or even the local police officers to get a court order to confiscate your guns or any “deadly weapons”.

The Case of Mike Strickland

And then don’t miss an example of an Oregon court going way too far to punish a gun owner. Listen to hear why Mike Strickland, who never fired a shot, is facing more than 30 years of jail. We talk with Jayne Carroll, host of the Jayne Carroll Show on KUIK-1360am in Portland, about this shocking case — shocking in the sense of how far the politics of Portland have gone to suppress political views they disagree with.

(See the videos, below)

Of course, all of this makes perfect sense because by taking away our 2nd Amendment rights we also lose the ability to protect our 1st Amendment rights. What better way to carve away at our freedom of speech but to do it under the guise of “protecting us” by taking away guns from someone who might hurt someone in the “foreseeable future.” Yes, that is actual language from SB 719A.

Meanwhile, Oregon’s lawmakers are looking the other way, away from groups like Black Lives Matter who scream, yell, show up in masks, do millions in damage to property owners and businesses, shut down roads and highways, and create havoc for law-abiding citizens. But a gun owner is the one who is punished?

You’ll want to hear how easy it was to have Mike’s case go from a single misdemeanor all the way to 21 felony counts.  Don’t miss Jayne’s look at what is really going on and the assault the Far Left is having on Oregonian’s freedoms.
