This Week: The end of 2019 and birth of 2020 marks the beginning of I Spy’s 10th year on air. After a decade of airing shows that we hope have been informative and, at times, entertaining we are trying something different. Having both Mark and me on air to discuss the issues.
So for this week’s show, we’re going to be doing a year in review AND a year in preview.
Year in Review. 2019: The rise of anti-socialism
To do that we take a look at some of the more interesting trends that took place this year, global and national in nature. Okay, there were a ton of topics to turn to with a highly active president in office. In fact he makes news while we’re trying to report it—which happened with this show as President Trump took on Iran.
2020 Year in Preview: Unfinished Stories from 2019
For us, this was a very fast hour to try and cover as many topics as possible and having a lot of fun while we’re doing it. I hope you have the time to take a listen and see if we’ve discussed the issues you felt were important. And what about the possibilities for 2020? Listen to find out our take.

This Week: Last week Adam Schiff and then later, Jerry Nadler, held committee hearings that filled with witnesses who had witnessed nothing, but were very willing to pass along gossip. But it turns out they weren’t the only storytellers. It turns out that’s the same technique the FBI officers were willing to give to FISA judges—a load of fiction.
IG Report: FISA Warrant Based on Lies
Judges on the FISA court assumed they were receiving the highest form of intelligence. But they were misled. Purposefully. And this from the FBI, which used to be considered the premiere and most-respected law-enforcement agency in the world. But no longer.
As Inspector General Horowitz testified, we found out that FBI officers were willing to lie and even forge information to get warrants against innocent people. Using gossip as evidence, people like Carter Page, who not only professed his innocence regarding contacts he made with Russians but had absolute evidence that he was telling the truth.
And the FBI knew it. At the time they submitted the FISA warrant application. But they kept that proof of innocence hidden, out of sight and away from the FISA judges—the very people who are supposed to safeguard our constitutional rights. Instead, the FBI buried evidence to obtain warrants as a way to try to make then-candidate and then President Trump appear guilty or willing to “collude with the Russians”. Or both.
IG Report: FBI set off a Firestorm of Lies
And let’s not forget, the FISA warrant to spy on Trump and subsequent Crossfire Hurricane “investigation” has led directly to the Democrats desperate impeachment hoax. The FISA warrant and investigation became the “evidence” of Trump working with the Russians to steal the election. The mainstream media repeated the lies often enough (thank you, Goebbels) until people believed it.
And this lie became the narrative has become the foundation for impeachment.
Speaking of Impeachment
Make no mistake, the Democrats have tried desperately to distract from the IG Report by announcing they would be drafting articles of impeachment of President Trump. On the same day the IG report came out.
Although wasn’t that odd? The Democrats, who claimed there is overwhelming evidence to convict Trump of high crimes and misdemeanors, a man so dangerous to the country, they had no choice but to impeach—a man so dangerous that merely an hour later, they also announced they liked his USMCA trade deal and would pass it. What?
Talk about surreal.

John Solomon on IG Report: FISA High Crimes and Misdemeanors
About the only real “high crimes and misdemeanors” in Washington DC were committed by the FBI. Because they knowingly lied to the FISA court.

But then just hours before our interview, Nancy Pelosi took to the mic and announced that—despite Wednesday’s disastrous hearings with the highly partisan testimonies from the Democrats’ “constitutional experts”—the Democrats were lurching forward to draft articles of impeachment.
So, instead of talking Christmas we tap into James Hirsen wearing his attorney hat, and his recent articles of why the Democrats really should not want the impeachment to head to the Senate. Mr. Hirsen walks us through his analysis of how they’re moving forward in spite of the reality of no evidence.
And don’t miss his discussion on how President Trump’s almost off-hand inquiry about Ukraine having the Crowd Strike server may have been what really set off the latest impeachment attempt and why. Show Summary: When it comes to collusion, corruption, and foreign interference in our elections, Ukraine is the epicenter. Ukraine is why the Democrats are so worried. And it explains why their whistle blower panicked. And has the Ukraine investigation exposed another Deep State set up of the Trump campaign?
This week: To many political observers, the Democrats have done the proverbial “jump the shark” by relentless pushing a fake impeachment before even all the facts are known. And once again, they’re relying on their triad of allies: disinformation, the Democrat “mainstream media”, and the ill-informed everyday voters (thanks to disinformation and the Democrat mainstream media).
But why? Why rush into a fake impeachment when they know it will fail in the senate? And why did their much vaunted “whistle blower” suddenly panic over a benign phone call between two presidents? One word: Ukraine.
Ukraine: Ground Zero of Corruption and Collusion
To understand why the Democrats pulled the trigger, you have to understand the panic behind what happened on the Ukraine phone call. We talk with John Solomon, formerly of The Hill and now a Fox News contributor, about the origins of the Ukraine corruption.
It starts with Obama and Biden in the wake of the 2014 Ukraine uprisings. We talk with John Solomon about the Obama administration’s odd maneuvers, essentially creating the perfect storm — not to fight corruption but for corruption. Including setting up an anti-corruption bureau that became the cloak for corruption.
Another Deep State Ploy?
One of the more interesting stories John Solomon has exposed was a secretive meeting at the Obama-Biden White House. Biden had invited the top Ukrainian prosecutors to the White House to discuss corruption.
But what it turned into was actual corruption: White House official urging the Ukraine prosecutors to drop their investigation into Burisma. And to re-open a dormant corruption case into a a political operative who would later be pushed into the Trump campaign. We talk it over with John Solomon and the follow up with John Kiriakou. Was this yet another example of guilt engineering? Much like we’ve seen with George Papadopoulos. (and as John Kiriakou himself experienced.)

Ukraine as Impeachment Trigger
The Democrats’ actions aren’t reasonable or normal in the wake of what happened. Trump is looking into corruption. And for that they want to impeach him?
The Democrat’ actions can only be explained by sheer panic and desperation. Why are they so panicked over a phone call about corruption. If there was corruption by Joe Biden, shouldn’t they want to get to the bottom of things?
Instead, they’ve turned this into Trump allegedly abusing the power of his office by going after a political opponent.
It begs the question: just how many Democrats were profiting off the corruption in Ukraine?
The Ukraine Whistle Blower
Here’s what other sites have said about the whistle blower. He’s a Biden operative. He was formerly fired by the White House for leaking. Not to mention spreading false stories about Putin ordering Trump to do things. He is a registered democrat. And his name is Eric Ciaramella.
We talk with an actual whistle blower, John Kiriakou, about the Democrats secret whistle blower. John actually went to jail over his whistle blowing, as a patriot. You can imagine John has a lot to say about this guy who has been sniping from the deepest shadows of the Deep State.

The memo also stated that after a New York Times reporter contacted Alfa Bank about the pings, the “hidden server belonging to Trump then disappears.” It added “no one but Alfa Bank was asked.”
John: “The now debunked conspiracy theory about Alfa Bank and Russia collusion was given life through Steele’s contact at State, fanned by career bureaucrats and the Fusion GPS firm. It’s the sort of tale that makes some believe there is — or at least was — a ‘deep state’ trying to influence the 2016 election.”
Whatever political persuasion you hold, Soros’s election-year contacts at State speak volumes about the fact that big-money access to those in power is a bipartisan phenomenon.
Clinton campaign given defensive briefing about foreign threat, something Trump never got on Russia (John Solomon Reports, Oct 24, 2019)
“My sources say the FBI was a participant in the briefing but they cannot tell me which foreign power was raised with Clinton’s team because it remains classified. Several said the threat did not involve Russia, Ukraine or China though.”
So on the one hand, you have FBI and CIA planting evidence and assets into the Trump campaign, never telling Trump at all about “Russian agents” so he could help catch them — and on the other hand, you have US Intelligence giving a briefing to Hillary that they didn’t give to Trump
Could this “briefing” have been about Trump and his supposed work with Russia et al?
“The recent appointment of the austerity-loving U.S. citizen and investment firm chief Natalie Jaresko as Ukraine’s Finance Minister continues a trend that has seen one Eastern European country after another appointing or electing U.S. citizens as major government officials.
Jaresko had Ukrainian citizenship conferred on her by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko as she arrived in Kiev to take up her new post in the government of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, himself a former legal U.S. resident
Jaresko not only handled Ukraine’s $74 billion in “debt restructuring”, she later transferred to Puerto Rico to handle their $70 billion debt restructuring as well.

This Week: The D’s keep giving us the same story over and over and we’re supposed to think there’ll be a different result. Except we’re not the ones who are crazy. Instead, we’re on to them. So disinformation in the age of Schiff and Pelosi just doesn’t work as well as it used to. Maybe it’s because they’re so bad at it. Or some of the swamp that has been relied on has actually been sent packing. Let’s hope for the latter.

This Week: Over the past few months we’ve been able to experience what President Trump has done for our courts, especially the 9th Circuit. There have actually been decisions made in the past few weeks that support things like, oh you know, the rule of law.
With just that one amazing change, Trump may finally be able to make a decision without being hauled into court, as the Left tries any trick to try stop. And this subtle but important change means we can look at some of the new rules knowing they may actually be enacted.
Good News for the Endangered Species Act
One of those are incredibly important changes he’s made to the Endangered Species Act. And, naturally, what’s being reported about simple changes that could lead to actual recovery of these species is being mis-reported that it will destroy a “vitally needed” government program.
This act that was to save animals from extinction because the money resource for far-left organizations who abused it through their sue-and-settle actions. Rather than trying to protect animals from harm they wanted to raise funds by suing while having prelimary agreements from Deep State bureaucrats to happily ensure the government would lose its case so that they could pay out high and outrageous attorney fees back to them. A legal loop hold that until recently was handing over millions to pro-environmental-anti-human groups.
With that atrocious practice eliminated, we turn our focus to the changes Trump’s administration has actually made to the ESA and its new benefits to species and to landowners. Dr. Zybach walks us through what he’s seen in how the landowner is now empowered to help with the ESA and why that’s a good thing.

Then we turn to Hollywood, the last place we expected to see good news this week and talk with James Hirsen about one star of pop culture who is making a dramatic change —to Christian music.
Kanye West, who recently became a born-again Christian, has a new album coming out in September. Mr. Hirsen walks us through Kanye and his wife, Kim Kardashian, have a tremendous impact on pop culture and why the Far Left may push back against them. Or just flat out turn on them. Because, you know, kids listening to an enlightened and positive message is clearly so dangerous.
We also have a momentary dip into the darker side of Bernie Sanders who wants population control because of (drum roll) global warming. He wants to sacrifice life to save us from death, sigh.
But we only stay on the dark side for a little bit and quickly turn back to some more good news—the newest Christian movie, Overcomer, and its powerful message.
This week, it’s all good fun, and uplifting, except for Bernie’s message. But then again, when is anything socialist ever good news?

Both are important, and both exemplify government mismanagement and, quite possibly, deep corruption. What’s troubling is both of these examples of corruption are right smack dab in the middle of our once-trusted Department of Justice.
Sadly, our government turned its moral compass upside down as insiders grapple to gain power. We have to fix what some may feel is unfixable: a bureaucratic system that creates an environment where insiders aren’t responsible nor get punished.

When it comes to economic outlook, there’s no better organization to turn to than ALEC — American Legislative Exchange Council, the nation’s premiere economic forecaster for the 50 states. And when it comes to Oregon’s economic outlook, they know what can make Oregon successful.
If only Oregon Democrats did.
Oregon’s Economic Outlook

We’ve said often that Oregon is the Petri dish for all things Left, except the Petri dish is no longer needed to prove what works or doesn’t work in economics. States across the U.S. are demonstrating how increased taxes are not the way to economic recovery. And even though the proof is in the pudding our Democrat legislators refuse to take heed.
Now ranked a very dismal 44th in ALEC’s survey of economic outlook among the states, Oregon may soon find their economic coffers emptying as businesses leave to move to much more friendly taxed states. It’s already happening. Stimson Lumber announced this last week that they were packing up, closing their operations in Forest Grove, and heading out of state.
Oddly, with all its spending, Oregon may soon be one of the biggest cheerleaders of the Trump economy. Because what do you think will happen if suddenly the economy retreats when Oregon just decided to raise billions in new taxes?

This Week:For many, the FISA court didn’t become widely known until after the 911 attacks as the public was sold the idea that the court was the way to keep track of terrorists who had infiltrated into the US or were planning to do so from other countries. What you may not know is that the FISA court, along with all its secretive powers, was created back in 1978 under President Carter as a way to insure political opponents could not be spied upon (remember Nixon).
How is that working for you?
As with any well-meaning protection, bureaucratic protections can be used against you and at this time in history we seem to be experiencing an out-of-control government that abused the power of the FISA court under false pretenses in order to get Trump. Ironically, so far, these are the only crimes that are both known and provable. Not the Russian collusion or obstruction.
And that’s the key in our legal system. Not accusations, but whether the government can prove its case against you. It’s not whether you might have done something or are alleged to have done something. It’s whether the government can demonstrate that you did, in fact, do something. And that’s why Mueller could only resort to hinting and implying.
Mueller’s Parting Shot
In the wake of the Mueller Muddle and his parting shot, Democrats in Congress are still bleating on about impeachment. The Senate is letting them hang themselves while they quietly work to get judicial nominees through their hearings.
So the Democrat Media (formerly known as the “Mainstream Media”) ignores the biggest story of our time — a massive abuse of power by the Obama administration against political opponents. But while they ignore it, it turns out the story and investigation is moving forward.
Origins of the Crime: The FISA Court
Enter investigative reporter John Solomon who has produced some of the deepest digs into the story exposing many of the who and how. But for him the biggest question to date is still the when this all started. Why?
Because crimes involve facts. And dates and times are facts. Such as, when did Mueller know he was investigating a non-crime? When did the FBI know the information used to get the FISA warrants was false? When did the government attorneys get involved helping to investigate? And when did Loretta Lynch sign the FISA warrants? And, believe us, there are many more questions regarding the when.
Answering those questions may at last bring about the criminal warrants to bring down those involved and start to heal the country.
A FOIA on the FISA Court
John Solomon has taken action and is working with Todd Young, Executive Director of Southeastern Legal Foundation, to get these answers directly from the FISA court. So is it possible government lawyers have already been quietly sanctioned or punished for their involvement? Todd gives us his take on the Mueller parting shot, the details to exactly what they’ve requested from the court, and insights into actions that the mainstream Democrat media refuse to cover. James Hirsen on Mueller
Then we move into James Hirsen who dons his former-lawyer hat to rip into Mueller’s partisan hack job—and why so many are dumbfounded by Mueller’s upside down and backward statements. Only to issue a joint statement afterwards between Mueller and Barr’s office that he [Mueller] agrees there was no conflict between he and Barr.
The statement reads:
“The Attorney General [(Barr)] has previously stated that the Special Counsel [(Mueller)] repeatedly affirmed that he was not saying that, but for the OLC opinion, he would have found the President obstructed justice. The Special Counsel’s report and his statement today made clear that the office concluded it would not reach a determination -one way or the other- about whether the President committed a crime. There is no conflict between these statements,”
