12-39 It’s the Elections, Stupid | The Front Lines of Freedom are in Oregon

Show Summary: This week, we’re focusing on the front lines of freedom. And right now, our freedoms come down to the elections. We speak with a businessman running for Congress to get government out of the way, and a scientist who attended the Washington County trial in which the State and county are attempting to hide public records from the public. And you won’t believe what the judge did to the expert witness.

This Week – It’s the Elections, Stupid

Bill Clinton famously had a sign on the Oval office wall, “It’s the economy, stupid.” It served as a daily reminder that the economy is what matters most to most people. Well, who is in charge of that economy comes down to elections.

In Oregon, the far-left policies keep us entrenched in high taxes, rising housing costs, and dubious curricula in public schools to cripple the next generation, and elections that don’t bring answers to the problems. It all feels hopeless. and many have left the state going to redder pastures to find the answers in states that make sense. Lower taxes, less big government, lower public debt, or maybe none at all if you’re in South Dakota. Meanwhile, Oregon’s lawmakers look to ruin our electric grid by pulling out dams, then force electric cars on its citizens whether we like it or not. Thus dies the free market.

Mike Erickson, Candidate for Oregon’s New CD 6

Speaking of that sign in the Oval office, we’ve gone from “It’s the economy, stupid,” to “It’s a stupid economy.” Here’s a hint to voters in Oregon’s new CD 6. If you want to fix the economy, don’t elect someone who has no business experience. Oregon, and the nation, needs elected officials who have practical business experience — not someone who has spent their entire life in government. (Hint number two: Biden has no practical business experience and look how that’s worked out.)

If you want to support Mike Erickson, find out what you can do at MikeEricksonforCongress.org. (Start by sharing that with your family and friends!)

Remember the strategy we mentioned months ago: If you live in a safe district (in Oregon, that’s CD 2) or in a hopeless district (CDs 1 and 3), put your time and money and energy to promote and support candidates in districts where they have a chance to flip a seat. That’s CDs 4 (Alek Skarlatos), 5 (Lorie DeRemer), and 6 — Mike Erickson.

Mike is running against Andrea Salinas, a far-left democrat who spent her entire adult life in and around government. On her website, she says she grew up in a hard-working family where nothing was handed to them but they made it through hard work. And, like Mike, she also had a cop for a father. So why is Mike fighting for police and she’s voting to defund the police? And how did she go from “working hard” and pulling oneself up through hard work to a career fighting for government handouts paid for by other people?

So Much for Open and Honest Elections

Here’s a funny thing.

In Oregon, the Secretary of State’s job is to audit other state agencies. But for some reason, she has declared that the elections division is off limits. Why is that? Instead, she has joined a lawsuit against a voter to declare a Washington County database should be shielded from public view and scrutiny.

Imagine trying that if the IRS wanted to audit your business. No, you can’t see the numbers. Trust us. Everything’s fine. You’d be saying that from jail. But the State is refusing to hand over a database, calling it proprietary information of a private company handling Washington County’s elections.

And why is a private company handling our elections to begin with?

We talk with Chuck Wiese — a scientist, analyst, and meteorologist, who has stepped up and joined the front lines of freedom — who was there at both days of the Sippel case trial. You won’t believe what the judge did to an actual, world renowned data scientist. Well, it’s Oregon. Maybe you will.

If the judge decides against the Sippel case, it will only continue to fuel the fire and doubts about the 2020 election. The only way to put out that fire is to open up the data to prove there wasn’t any manipulation. But hiding it and then expecting people to trust the government…?

Regardless of whether or not you think the 2020 election, when it comes to elections, any election, the Golden Rule should be “Open the books.” Hiding the results behind a wall of secrecy is, well, just stupid.

Our Many Healthcare Crises, Part 2 | The Root Cause of Many of Them

Show Summary: When Obamacare was passed (rammed through without a single Republican vote), it was supposed to fix health care and lower costs. All those savings, remember? What happened? But there are more problems and more spending than ever. This week, we continue our talk with healthcare-system expert, Lisa Lettenmaier, but zero in on the two root causes of many of, if not all of, our many healthcare crises.

This Week – Our Many Healthcare Crises

We continue our deep dive into the problems plaguing our health care system—the many healthcare crises and the ever-growing expense. How is it that we are spending more than ever — by far! — on healthcare and yet it’s just one crisis after another?

But this week, we zero in on the two main problems. And they should be no surprise, really, for anyone who has followed I Spy Radio’s many shows on healthcare or for anyone who has a lick of common sense. The two root causes are money and government. Particularly, government interference.

Healthcare crises in the UK: "My cousin had to deliver his child because the ambulance said they’d take 4 and a half hours to come for his wife. What is the UK coming to? He had to watch a YouTube tutorial on how to deliver a baby."
Healthcare crises in the UK. THIS is what they want to emulate?

We bring back our healthcare system expert, Lisa Lettenmaier. Lisa is currently an insurance agent and owns Health Source NW. But her background is in accounting, overseeing budgets and forecasting for major companies. So when she looks at the healthcare crises, she is viewing it not just from an insurance standpoint but from a systemic-analyst’s viewpoint.

Need healthcare and not sure where to turn? Give Lisa a call. Her website is www.HealthSourceNW.com.  She helps individuals and businesses throughout Oregon and SW Washington make sure they have the right coverage for when, God forbid, they really need it. Will your policy cover what you think it does?

The Root Cause of So Many Healthcare Crises

This week, you’ll also hear an extended opener from I Spy Radio host, Mark Anderson, on the government’s interference — sabotage, really — of the normal free-market forces that would normally lower cost and improve care. Mark walks you through what a free market system would look like. Hint: we don’t have one now (remember Obama et al. when they were pushing Obamacare:  “the free market failed”?), not in health care. And he walks you through the government interfering with the free market, much of which can be traced back to a 1943 IRS ruling.

If you didn’t already think “they” are destroying things on purpose, you’ll believe it after this show. No one, no government, makes this many “mistakes” on purpose.

We are diving deep into the problems plaguing our health care system. The many healthcare crises and the ever-growing expense. How is it that we are spending more than ever — by far! — on healthcare and yet it’s just one crisis after another?

Does anyone even remember that we were promised that Obamacare would fix all this? And cost less?

And it’s not good.

We talk with Lisa about the many healthcare crises right now but focus on three in particular that are the most troubling. Including the mental health crisis, which, in many ways, is emblematic of the other system-wide problems.

We’ll continue this deep dive next week and focus in on the root of all these crises. Which has changed everything—and not for the good.

When Government Gets it Wrong, It Turns Abusive

Show Summary: This week, it’s all about abusive Big Government. Getting around it through ballot initiatives—the fight to get Real School Choice on the ballot in spite of Big Government that doesn’t want to give up its power. Plus the incredibly ugly and un-American targeting of political opposition for destruction. It’s not a Conspiracy: The Government Hates You

When’s the last time you felt you could fully trust government?

And knowing what we know now about government, the abuse of power for political reasons (and the accompanying financial reasons — using government to send billions to their political allies), we can  never fully trust government again until there is a serious come-to-Jesus reckoning.

This week, we talk about two abuses of government: getting around an abusive government that wants to prevent parents from getting a better education for their kids. And an abusive government that seeks to silence any and all dissent.

King George III would be proud.

Real School Choice Ballot Initiative: Round 2

Marc Thielman is leading the charge to get Real School Choice on the ballot in Oregon. Last time, the secretary of state used some mental hurdles to claim it was dealing with two constitutional issues and denied the initiative.

So they split it in two.

Before we talk about the initiatives, Marc looks back at the primary and his run for the republican nomination for Oregon’s governor—and the betrayal of a fellow candidate.

And then we look at the two initiatives, how they differ, and how they will impact kids and parents if they pass. And, of course, we look at how an abusive government will fight to keep control. Yes, that’s right. The government thinks it knows better how to raise your kids and what they need than you do.

Help Real School Choice get past the first hurdle! Sign the initiatives. Head to EducationFreedomforOregon.com

The Ultimate Example of Abusive Government: Political Prisoners

The prisoners taken into custody after the January 6th protests are living proof of what happens when people are presumed guilty and are locked away into oblivion.

We welcome back NY Times bestselling author and attorney, Scott McEwen, to talk about the incredible abuse. By our own government against fellow Americans.

We literally treated al Qaeda terrorists better than the democrats are treating American citizens. Solitary confinement. Months of it. Physically assaulted. And then denied medical treatment. Even denied medication. Denied access to religious leaders. And even denied access to their own lawyers.

The Documentary: The Truth about January 6th

Jake Lang went to the US Capitol Building January 6th to protest an election. Protest. The exact same thing the Left had done the entire summer and fall of 2020. The exact same thing the Left did the day Donald Trump was inaugurated.

Watch The Truth about January 6th documentary narrated by Jake Lang, one of the political prisoners

On January 6th, the day of the “insurrection” four U.S. citizens were killed. At the brutal hands of capitol police who beat defenseless Americans while they were on the ground.

Where’s the outrage?

There isn’t any. Because they disagreed politically with those who stole the election. And in communist countries (which is how the political Left sees themselves—communist revolutionaries), you’re not allowed to speak against the opposition.

Remember: These aren’t people who were there to overthrow the government. They were there to defend the Constitution. And what they saw as the abuse of government to steal an election. This wasn’t an “insurrection.” This was an attempt to stop the political theft of the country.

We talk with Scott about the legal side of things. But also the reality of dealing with an abusive government. And what needs to be done. By those on the inside.

But all the way down to city councilors, D.A.s, and judges—as one governor found out too late. This Week – The Importance of Elections

Far, far too many people only vote for those at the top of the ticket. In part, because those are the names the recognize. Who pays attention to city councilors or district attorneys, right?

We all should. Because this week, we talk with Kimberly Hermann, the general counsel for the Southeastern Legal Foundation about the strange case of a George Soros prosecutor in Missouri, Kim Gardner. Garnder targeted and removed a duly elected governor from office.

But it turns out that the prosecutor made it up. Just like in the Russia collusion narrative concocted by democrats, there was no evidence, and Gardner lied about it. But—mission accomplished—she effectively removed the duly elected governor.

But it’s not over. Because now, Southeastern Legal Foundation, which is John Solomon’s attorney, won their case before Missouri’s Supreme Court to get public records from Gardner’s office, including all communications between state officials, individuals, groups, and even Gardner’s real boss: George Soros.

Bridget Barton for Oregon Governor

We continue our discussion on why elections matter as we welcome first-time guest, Bridget Barton, who is one of many (too many!) Republican candidates for Oregon’s governor. Bridget Barton is definitely a political outsider as a first-time candidate and clearly not the preferred pick of the ORP. Oregon Republican Party.

But what separates her from the pack? What makes her uniquely qualified to tackle Oregon’s version of “The Swamp”?

To find out more about Bridget Barton as a candidate, head to www.bridgetbartonfororegon.com

Bridget has a 30-year career of running a successful conservative business magazine, Brainstorm NW, in which they advocated for conservative solutions to Oregon’s many problems. If only Oregon had listened, maybe we wouldn’t be a national leader of how not to solve problems. Like crime, homelessness, and addiction.

Be sure to tune in to hear her solutions, which have worked when they’ve been tried, and what makes her personal story so relevant to Oregon’s problems.

This Week – Elections & Election Theft, Part 2

We welcome back Don Powers, who is part of a team looking at voter fraud and election theft around the country — and what is happening right here in Oregon. Don Powers is the co-chair of election integrity for the Oregon Republican Party (ORP). Odd, though, that the ORP doesn’t believe election theft happened in 2020 and doesn’t want candidates talking about it as an issue, as we talked about last week.

Read the article from John Solomon’s Just the News: Ballot Bombshells: 20 examples exposing fraud, illegalities and irregularities in 2020 election

This week, we talk more details about what Don’s team has uncovered in other states. Clear examples of voter fraud. Clear and proven examples of election theft. In Wisconsin. In Georgia. In Arizona. We hear about “missing data”. Ballot harvesting. Mules. And so much more.

And, most importantly, what’s the remedy? Decertify? What would that mean? Take a listen to find out.

Yes, Oregon, There Really Is Election Theft

Are the examples of election theft in other states happening here in Oregon? Absolutely.

When it comes to voter fraud and election theft, I think this, from John Solomon, really nails it: “At this point, there is no downside to cheating in Wisconsin [Or any state, I might add], when you have a governor that is shutting down a lot of the things that we — as Republicans and Democrats — have thought would make a fair and transparent election,”

No downside to cheating.

Think of where that leads.

This Week – Elections & Election Theft

Yes, there really was election theft in 2020. Yes, the election was stolen. The evidence is becoming overwhelming. So why is the Oregon Republican Party denying it? Why are they telling candidates not to discuss it?

We talk with now former superintendent of the Alsea School District, Marc Thielman, who stepped down to focus full time on his race for governor. Naturally, the left wing Democrat-Herald immediately launched a smear campaign against him.

Obviously they don’t want him in the race. What are they afraid of?

Evil in the Oregon Republican Party?

We also talk with Thielman about the recent events in the ORP, the Oregon Republican Party. Which, once again, is in disarray. And in an election year when Republicans should be winning going away.

Read Dallas Heard’s resignation letter, resigning as chairman of the ORP

Yes, there was cheating in 2020’s election

Then we talk with Don Powers about election theft and voter fraud in 2020’s elections. Yes, there are clear examples of fraud and election theft. What will it take to convince people that it really did happen?

People like the ORP.

Despite Don Powers being the Co-Chair of Election Integrity at the ORP, the official position of the ORP is that it didn’t happen and that candidates shouldn’t talk about it.

Read the explosive article from John Solomon’s Just the News: Ballot Bombshells: 20 examples exposing fraud, illegalities and irregularities in 2020 election

    • Brown announced she was using her clemency powers to let those inmates benefit from Oregon Senate Bill 1008, which passed in 2019 and reforms the juvenile justice system. AG Perlow said, the Governor’s priority is offenders of crimes, many of them violent, and ensuring they have a ‘meaningful opportunity to be released’ before they complete their duly secured criminal sentences,” she said in a statement about the legal petition. “Victims of crime, and all other Oregonians, deserve the enforcement of their rights. It is essential that all Oregonians, including public officials, adhere to the rule of law.

    • If Gov. Kate Brown’s clemency powers remain unchallenged, it could mean the release of violent offenders, including a man who stabbed his grandmother to death, another who killed a woman with the mental capacity of a 12-year-old and then burned her body beneath a bridge, and a then-17-year-old who shot his older brother three times in the head.

The Great Pushback Against Tyranny

Have you noticed more and more countries are throwing off the mandates? First the U.K. Then Denmark. Now Finland. And others soon to follow.

And even here in the U.S., more and more cities and states are just done with the mandates.

Resisting Tyranny in Oregon

This week, we’re talking with two public-official heroes (in our book) who are standing up to the overreach of Oregon’s government — from inside government.

Mary Starrett, who tangled with her county’s public health board to get accurate data and more balance to their website, rather than just the official narrative. But doing so led to an strange fight with county health board. Which seemed oddly desperate to get a letter from the county commissioners as they sought accreditation from a non-profit no normal person has heard of. Or cares about.

Why so desperate? Could it be they want to be the “Ministry of Truth” for health? Setting up the one true narrative for covid? Why is Yamhill County Health so afraid of alternative treatments? “Accredited” sites are, of course, a means to look like theirs is the “sanctified source,” which then—psychologically—becomes the ministry of truth for all things covid.

And seizing control of the narrative stops people from being able to ask questions. Because under tyranny, you’re not allowed to ask questions. You’re not allowed alternative treatments. But you are allowed to obey.

Is Oregon Attempting to Blackmail the Alsea School District?

Marc Thielman, as Alsea school superintendent, seems to be always tangling with the State. This time, it’s about masks — and the state’s attempts to essentially blackmail Alsea into compliance.

Denver School Board Vice President Weird Fetish with Masks
Weird! Is it a mask mandate? Or a mask fetish? (Click for full size)

Recently, his school district decided to make masks optional. Why? Because that’s CDC guidance. (Bet you haven’t heard that, have you?) But Oregon can’t tolerate being disobeyed. Why does Oregon want so desperately to keep people — especially kids — in masks? It’s a weird psychosis, really.

And considering that more and more studies are showing the mandates, from lockdowns to masks and plenty in between, have done more harm than good, bureaucrats might just be headed for a lawsuit.

Real School Choice

Marc Thielman was also the chief petitioner to get Real School Choice on the ballot, which would have created an amendment to Oregon’s constitution, giving it an extra level of security from a regular bill passed into law, making it harder for future legislators from dismantling it. But elected Democrats say they’re for education, just not good education and no one should be able to teach kids except democrats. Which is why democrat Secretary of State, Shemia Fagan, killed it. Find out the ridiculous, convoluted “reasoning” behind her decision. And why she was so wrong. But it’s not over. More resisting tyranny in Oregon on this front too.

Marc Thielman for Governor

Marc is also a candidate for governor on the Republican side. Which means its own set of challanges. Find out the roadblock the Oregon Republican Party (ORP) has set in front of candidates this election.

Hint. They need donors.

If you want to support a fighter resisting tyranny in Oregon, visit Marc’s campaign website: MarcForOregon.com. Stay up to date with news and events. And while there, be sure to give him some love.

As mentioned on the show, right now, they need numbers. It’s the number of donors the ORP is looking at, not just dollars.
