John Kiriakou CIA whistle-blower who went to prison when the CIA used the FBI to silence him as a warning to other whistle-blowers
John Kiriakou CIA whistle-blower who went to prison when the CIA used the FBI to silence him as a warning to other whistle-blowers

On today’s show, John Kiriakou will walk you through what it was like to be recruited (out of the blue) by the CIA, his training, and their attempt to recruit him into their enhanced interrogation program.

Things were going well until he was accused by ABC News of being one of the torturers of Abu Zubaydah, who was waterboarded. When John went on TV to defend himself and told Brian Ross about the program, which by then was declassified, someone in the CIA decided to silence him.

Join us as we hear John Kiriakou’s incredible story. How the CIA used the FBI to spy on him—an American citizen and patriot—in an effort to silence an enemy of the Deep State.

Tune in to hear how someone in the CIA urged the Obama administration to reopen his case, how the FBI launched a secret surveillance on him, tried to entrap him into committing treason, and when that didn’t work, used their bottomless prosecutorial checkbook to try to bankrupt him.

You’ll hear eerily similar tactics being used in the Mueller probe to force witnesses to do their will.

You’ll also hear who in the CIA had targeted John Kiriakou for silencing.

Then be sure to join us next week as we continue our discussion and take a deeper dive into the Deep State.

Part 2 of our interview with John Kiriakou will air the weekend of June 23/24. Show page for Part 2 is here.

Republican victories in California. So much for that Blue Wave
So much for that “Blue Wave”

Be sure to tune in this week as we look ahead at the November 2018 races by looking at what happened in the 2018 California primaries. Is there hope for California?

And should those of us in deep blue states like Oregon take some hope?

Is there a “Blue Wave” coming?

Will the hate-filled rhetoric from the Left fire up their base?

Will the Democrats defense of MS-13 and embrace of illegal immigration win the Latino vote? This and a lot more on this week’s I Spy Radio Show.

At the end of all this, who’s going to need that other southern border? Oregon? Or California? If California can turn things around and drive the Democrats from office, we may not need that wall on Oregon’s Southern border after all.

But Calif might want one — to keep out Oregonians if we can’t get our act together.

Original Air Dates: May 19 & 20, 2018 | Rob Taylor, Sgt. (ret) Greg Stube, Scott McEwen

This Week: In an unusual move for I Spy we are having three guests this week to help cover some important issues. One of these is a massive potential impact on our 2nd Amendment rights here in Oregon.  We felt it important enough that we deterred from our usual format to be sure we could help get the word out on Rob Taylor’s work to pass ordinances at the county level to Preserve the Second Amendment.

Oregon’s Latest Gun Confiscation Attempt: IP43

In a nutshell—yes. It is a gun confiscation bill. (Read the full text of Oregon’s IP43 and make up your own mind.)

We talk to Rob about the new bill IP 43, being pushed by our current Kate Brown, as a masked attempt to confiscate guns in Oregon.  Listen to find out what your community can do to not only protect itself but why it’s important to get out and vote to stop this atrocious bill from ever becoming law.  Be sure to visit Rob’s website www.cooscountywatchdog.com for more information on the Second Amendment Protection Ordinance.

What Republicans Could Use: Leadership

Then we turn to Green Beret Sgt. (ret) Greg Stube, who has written a new book Conquer Anything.  This excellent read gives you insights into the lives of those serving in the special forces.  Sgt. Stube writes about his own active duty and the challenges he was faced with and why ethos taught to him in preparation for these challenges now help him every day, civilian life.

You’ll hear what it means to be part of an A-team and why every man pulls for the group, which ends up protecting the individual in the most dire of situations. Riveting to read, you won’t be sorry to dig into this book as you learn how to apply special forces, A-team lessons to your own life.

Deep State: New Revelations

Specializing in military operations, author Scott McEwen, makes a return visit to I Spy to discuss the new information coming out about Obama’s FBI’s attack on a political opponent. New this week: actual evidence of the Deep State and FBI planting actual spies inside the Trump campaign.

And, unbelievably, new secret means to get around pesky things like laws and courts. All in attempt to get dirt on the future President. Why? To derail his election? To use as leverage post-election? To stage a coup?

Since when did entrapment stop being a thing?

We discuss with Scott, a recovering attorney, the dangerous road our law enforcement agencies are traveling down as they attempt to thwart an election through illegal and manipulative actions. We also get his thoughts on the upcoming Inspector General’s report on the FBI conduct. Will it be a nothing burger? Or are a lot of people about to face serious charges?

And don’t miss our discussion on Scott’s new book Camp Valor that’s coming out this summer.  Another block buster book you won’t want to miss.

This Week:  we will be following up on last week’s conversation about Oregon’s economic woes with Jonathan Williams of ALEC. Our conversation with Jonathan was a real eye opener on how Oregon’s current leadership is about to punish small businesses. We move from last week’s diagnostics to some actual remedies this week with guest, business owner and consultant, Sam Carpenter.

Sam Carpenter for Oregon's governor
I Spy Radio interviews Sam Carpenter who is running for Oregon’s governor

Sam is one of the Republican candidates for Oregon governor. A successful businessman himself, he is also a consultant and turnaround specialist. He has helped over 200 companies find their own path to prosperity.  Sam is hired to identify the problems and then design the way for the company to correct them and get back to prosperity.  And that’s just what he wants to do for Oregon—fix the economic problems.

And with Kate Brown’s “leadership,” we have a ton of problems.

Oregon governor Kate Brown and the Salem Democrats made Oregon a sanctuary state. Have you signed the petition yet? Your signature can help get it on the ballot so voters can decide. Head to StopOregonSanctuaries.org. Just print, sign, mail. Do it today!

Oregon Democrat’s Punish Small Business Tax becomes law

We talk to Sam about three major problems that he would face from Day One of taking the reins in Oregon and start to immediately change our direction.  Sam talks to us about what we’ve termed The Punish Small Business Tax (SB 1528) that Kate already signed into law and how devastating it will be for small business.

And we talk about PERS. Especially the lack of good information to even know how much in debt we truly are, with some saying $25 billion, others say $50 billion, and still other reliable estimates that put it up to $100 and even as high as $200 billion.  Who’s right?

Crush Small Businesses Part II: The Internet Sales Tax

We also talk with Sam about the little known Internet Sales Tax that the Supreme Court heard this week. Governor Kate Brown’s Attorney General signed an Amicus Brief in support of yet another punishing blow to Oregon’s small businesses.  If it stands, it will mean that business owners in Oregon, which has no sales tax of its own (yet), will be forced to collect tax for over 12,000 taxing jurisdictions—in other states.

Why exactly did Oregon’s Attorney General sign onto this idea…?

Ron Kessler on the Trump White House

The Trump White House: Changing the Rules of the Game by Ron KesslerNext, we turn to NY Times bestselling author, Ronald Kessler, with his new book The Trump White House: Changing the Rules of the GameRon has authored over 20 books investigating life in Washington D. C., from Presidents to the CIA and the FBI  Ron has also been a friend of President Trump for years and gives us insights into the personality, mindset, and life of our President.  Including the surprising role of Melania.

Tune in to hear how Trump looks at people, and how he determines whom to hire and why.  We also talk to him about the FBI and the Deep State, Jeff Sessions’ and Rod Rosenstein’s job security, and how President Trump finds the energy to keep fighting the good fight.

How Oregon will Crush Small Business Thanks to Governor Kate Brown

If you plan to vote for someone running for office you need to listen to this show. If you own a small business or work for one, you really need to listen to this show. Some states are scrambling for money as big debts are coming due. And Oregon is leading the way—just not in finding the right answers that would promote economic health.

Instead, Democrat Governor Kate Brown seems to be almost working overtime to crush our state’s innovative spirit. So she’s not only killing our ability to not only pay our bills but taking an axe to what could be (with better management) a positive economic environment for small businesses. Or even attract them from other states.

But not in Oregon. Instead, there is a real storm coming for small businesses here in Oregon.

Crushing Small Business. Oregon Style

One of the things you’ll hear in the show this week is how Oregon is targeting small business by divorcing them from the Trump tax break. But then there’s a coming sales tax.

Yes. A sales tax in Oregon.

This is the internet sales tax that is being heard next week in front of the Supreme Court. Oregon small businesses would be forced to collect taxes for states like New York and Washington that have their own sales tax.

Regulations and taxes crush small businesses. Oregon is the example of what NOT to do.But unbeknownst to many, Oregon’s own State Attorney General has signed onto an Amicus Brief to allow a national sales tax on internet purchases.  This will be crushing to Oregon’s small businesses with the increased costs of processing this sales tax. For other states.

It’s the foot in the door to finally create the sales tax Oregon’s Democrats and Big Government Republicans have been longing for.

[wpedon id=”2365″ align=”center”]

See below for an excerpt from the brief that includes not only more taxes but more prying into your personal lives. Have our elected leaders gone insane? Has no one heard of cutting spending?

Oregon Democrats hate cutting spending almost as much as they hate cutting trees.

Show Flow

We start by discussing Congress’s Omnibus bill, which sets the stage for the rest of the discussion.

Then we move to the Left’s “boogeyman”: Kansas and their ill-advised massive tax cut and spending increase. Why? Because the Left uses Kansas to try to scare other states away from cutting taxes. We debunk the myth because what happened in Kansas can help other states learn what not to do (hint, hint Oregon!).

Next, we talk about what Oregon is doing to crush small business, including taking away tax cuts. It’s a punishment that falls on small businesses and only small businesses. Then, it’s the internet sales tax and the grand daddy of spending boondoggles, PERS.

But there is good news (just not in Oregon). Don’t miss what nearby state to watch as the primary example of how smart policies really can create economic health.

Oregon’s Attorney General Rosenblum’s Amicus Brief

“Their [businesses] advanced online platforms boast impressive technology that enables them to not only comply (easily) with State [tax] collection laws, but also capture extensive data about their customers. According to one commentator, an online retailer can effortlessly track demographic information that includes “‘your age, whether you are married and have kids, which part of town you live in, how long it takes you to drive to the store, your estimated salary, whether you’ve moved recently, what credit cards you carry in your wallet and what Websites you visit … data about your ethnicity, job history, the magazines you read, if you’ve ever declared bankruptcy or got divorced, the year you bought (or lost) your house, where you went to college, what kinds of topics you talk about online, whether you prefer certain brands of coffee, paper towels, cereal or applesauce, your political leanings, reading habits, charitable giving and the number of cars you own.’”

This Week:  We are in a constant state of war. If you heard last week’s show with a former jihadist, you know there are many forces trying to destroy it from within and without.  It’s a constant barrage against our way of life and the belief of our inalienable rights to freedom. The freedom given to us by our maker and reflected in our 1st and 2nd Amendments.

When it comes to threats to our country, we think of military threats. Countries building up their militaries and nuclear powers.

But there are also hidden threats. Hidden right in our midst.

The Depths of the Deep State

For decades, we’ve had the invisible and sinister attempts to destroy our freedoms by people working within our government agencies to form the Deep State, who go undetected as they dig deeply into our systems with loyalty to themselves and to the government, not the people.  The Deep State will lash out and oppose anyone who wants to deprive the government of power or anyone who wants to return power to citizens.

[wpedon id=”2365″ align=”center”]

Fortunately, our country has many patriots who are rooted in our Constitutional rights and work feverishly in preserving them for all Americans. This week I Spy is honored to have two of those Patriots on our show.

Jerome Corsi: Killing the Deep State

First up we are joined by Dr. Jerome Corsi author of many bestsellers including Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry and Obama Nation. Now, Dr. Corsi has a new book out Killing the Deep State: A Fight to Save President Trump.

Tune in to hear just how deep the roots go in agencies such as the FBI, CIA, and EPA. You’ll hear how those and other agencies are tied to gaining power to destroy America and leave us helpless to fight off their silent coup—and the lengths they’ll go to sabotage President Trump.

Is Jeff Sessions incompetent? Or a lurking menace about to strike the Deep State?

Do members of the Deep State see themselves as patriots?

Ted Nugent: Second Amendment Superstar

Then we’re joined by 1st and 2nd Amendment advocate, and rock star, Ted Nugent.  We talk to him about Oregon’s new gun control laws as he calls out to voters to show up for the governor’s election to turn this state red.  Ted Nugent adds the energy and commitment as he discusses why we can win back our gun rights while reversing draconian legislation approved by far-left Kate Brown.  And in doing so we have a chance to make this state red — and get us into the black.

Stop Oregon Sanctuaries

A handful of lawmakers and Democrat Governor Kate Brown, have turned Oregon into a sanctuary state. Shouldn’t Oregon voters get to decide? You can help get it on the ballot. Head to StopOregonSanctuaries.org. Print, sign, and mail. It’s that simple.

This week: We replay our two previous interviews with the two leading Oregon governor candidates on the Republican side: businessman Sam Carpenter and former Navy pilot, Capt. Greg Wooldridge.

Last weekend Republicans gathered at the annual Dorchester event to do a little meet and greet and to plot the end of civilization.  (Or at least that’s what the Democrats think goes on there.) Over the last decade, Oregon has been faced with a Democrat stranglehold on the legislature and governor’s office.  As a result, we’re now staring down the double-barrel of high deficits and a Democrat-led march toward higher taxes.

Oregon governor candidates

First of all, if you believe The Oregonian, the choice for Oregon governor candidates comes down to one person. Oregon is destined (or “doomed”) for another four years of Kate Brown—and more Democrat spending.

The Oregon Governor's Race
The problem for Oregon’s Republican candidates

Well, maybe two people: Kate Brown and Knute Buehler. A Democrat and a democrat-lite.

But are we doomed to go down that road?

No. Thankfully, this year’s Oregon governor candidates include two solid, conservative Republicans. Republican Oregon governor candidates who could actually win not just the Oregon Republican candidacy but win in November too.

Oregon governor’s race 2018

On this week’s show, we replay our previous interviews with the two best Republican candidates who could challenge—and beat—Kate Brown.

With the May primary fast approaching, tune in to hear our previous two interviews with Sam Carpenter and Capt. Greg Wooldridge back-to-back. This weekend’s show will help you compare the two Oregon governor candidates who, we at I Spy Radio believe, are the best candidates in the race.

Did you leave the Republican Party? Find out how you can still vote in the Oregon primary

Either of these two men would be great leaders. And either of these two men would lead Oregon out of the self-digging pit that Oregon has put itself in—if we can’t unseat the Democrats.

Both men are conservatives. Both are strong leaders. And both are turnaround specialists. Sam has helped over 500 companies in Oregon return to profitability. He is the author of a widely respected book, Work the system: The Simple Mechanics of Making More and Working Less. Captain Greg Wooldridge was a three-time commander of the Blue Angels and went on to turn around a failing Naval base to make it the top naval base in the world. Like being a CEO of company with 8,000 employees.

In conclusion, let’s say that again: EITHER of these two men will be great for Oregon. They are the kind of leader Oregon desperately needs and one of them will stop us from sinking into a California-style black hole.

So who will it be? Who’s your choice?

The Oregon Primary Secret

Are you a conservative? Did you leave the Republican Party? That’s too bad because when you leave the party, then you can’t vote in the Republican primary. Right? But wait! There is a way you can vote in the primary for the Oregon Governor’s race.

Because here’s a little secret. You can plug your nose and rejoin the Oregon Republican party just long enough to vote in the primary to get a good conservative through the primary. Here’s how:

You have until April 24th to change your registration. Simply visit your county office or go to the Oregon Secretary of State’s website and change your party affiliation. You’ll get a Republican ballot for the primary, vote for your candidate, and then after the primary, May 15th, change your registration back to non-affiliate, independent or whatever.

Or. Consider staying in the Republican party. They need good people like you. And if you’re not in it, you don’t have a voice.

The Good Guys get a Win! What Oregon can learn from them

Show Summary: When it comes to slaying the dragons in life—whether metaphorical or the governmental kinds—we all like to see the good guys win. This week on I Spy Radio, we follow two stories about just that. Dr. Tim Ball who just won a major court, a libel lawsuit because he dared to be skeptical about Global Warming. Plus former Navy pilot and Blue Angels commander, Greg Wooldridge. Oregon’s newest Republican candidate for governor. Good guys winning! Can Oregon learn from these? Can Oregon win again?

On last week’s show we discussed Oregon’s ongoing health care debacle, including one of Oregon’s largest Coordinated Care Organizations was forced to close its doors as it faced a $100 million loss for 2018. This shouldn’t be a surprise, since the bills that created Oregon’s Health Authority and Coordinated Care Organizations were designed to create universal health care. In other words, socialized medicine.

HB3650: Oregon's legislative intent was to create universal health care.
HB3650: Oregon’s legislative intent to create universal health care. Paragraph 1. #ReadTheBill

(This should not have been hard for the Republicans who voted for these bills to figure out. Especially given that the very first paragraph said so. See the graphic at the right.)

Our predictions from years ago have sadly come true as we see the Democrat majority in Oregon’s legislature continue to push for a single payer system for health care (which will raise taxes), Cap and Trade (which will raise taxes), divorce us from Trump’s tax cuts (which will raise taxes), and increase gun control policies (which will raise taxes).  Without more Republican legislators, Oregonians are left powerless to curb the Democrats’ desire to run our lives and spend our money.

It is critical that we replace Democrat Governor, Kate Brown, before she spends us into California-level oblivion. Many Oregonians are beginning to lose hope of ever shaking the Democrats from the halls of power before it’s too late.

This week we’re happy to say there’s hope. Because as you’ll hear, the Good Guys can and do win.

Good Guys do Win

First up, we talk with Dr. Tim Ball, a retired professor who has been battling three libel lawsuits against him, all by the same lawyer who is representing three clients with very deep pockets. He and his wife were forced to exhaust their savings as they fought to protect their right to free speech in anti-free-speech Canada—simply because he dared to be a skeptic of Global Warming.

But Dr. Ball just got some outstanding news on one of the lawsuits against him. The Left has sought to sue him ito silence, intimidate him, and make an example of him as a warning to others who would dare to speak up and expose the bad science behind such things as the Michael Mann’s famous “hockey stick” chart, that has become the poster child of the Global Warming movement. Now, after seven years, the court dismissed the case in favor of Dr. Ball.

But there is some more good news too. Tune in to hear the story not only about his recent victory but how another development could have global implications and slay one of the biggest dragons of the Global Warming movement.

See? The good guys do win.

Can Oregon Learn to Win Again?

Captain Greg Wooldridge for Governor
Navy pilot, Captain (retired) Greg Wooldridge is running for Oregon governor as a Republican.

Next up, we talk to a new candidate for governor of Oregon, retired Navy officer and three-time Commander of the Blue Angels— Captain Greg Wooldridge.  Capt. Wooldridge is one of those rare Americans who has excelled in a field that is the fewest of the few: a Blue Angels pilot and Commander.

The training and talents needed to lead the very best—which demands extreme precision and high efficiency from everyone involved—requires a unique set of skills that Capt. Greg Wooldridge used to not only lead the Blue Angels but how he turned around a failing Naval bases into one of the premier bases in the world. You’ll hear how the training and leadership needed for precision flying is not just about the pilot but the entire team, ground crew, suppliers, and so many others who have to come together to put the planes in the air.

Tune in to hear why Capt. Wooldridge decided to run. You’ll how all those years of work and leading troops at the highest levels, Greg Wooldridge can bring a winning mindset to lead Oregon. You’ll hear why and how his leadership skills are desperately needed to turn Oregon around. And if he gets the chance, he can win in November and make all of us —and Oregon—winners again.

What Fuels Oregon’s Health Care Transformation? Lies and Cash

What Fuels Oregon’s Health Care Transformation? Lies and Cash

Show Summary: The one thing the many tentacles of Oregon’s health care system have in common: the lies they tell to sell it. This week we expose the many lies told to pass Oregon’s health care transformation, and our predictions that came true. Oregon’s new health care sales tax—Measure 101? Yep. They lied. Plus, a new tax on small businesses—SB 1528B.

Original Air Dates: Feb. 24 & 25, 2018 | Lisa Lettenmaier

This Week: We’re talking with Lisa Lettenmaier, who, as an insurance agent pays close attention to the entire health industry, especially the insurance trade and health care/insurance costs.  We call on Lisa whenever we hear of legislative actions related to health care that are going to affect your life.

As we predicted and reported on back when the Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) model was first being implemented as part of Oregon’s health care transformation, our legislators had other motives and that  their “cheaper better system would not work using the CCO model.

This week, we check with Lisa about our past predictions about Oregon’s version of Obamacare and where all this is headed.

Health Care as a Human Right

One prediction about was that the Democrats’ real motive was to turn our health care system into a single payer system—also known as “universal health care” or “socialized medicine.” This has been the dream of Oregon’s Democrats since Day One of Oregon’s health care transformation: a slow, steady lurch toward universal health care.

We can tell you that, exactly as we predicted, Legislators are right now in this session are trying to pass universal health care under the mistaken belief that health care is a “human right.”

Here’s reality. It is not a “right” if it depends on someone else providing it to you.

This is not about “rights,” as those who support single payer systems falsely proclaim (including Republican candidate for governor, Dr. Knute Buehler does) it’s about gaining power.  Period.

And with Democrats firmly in control, the high costs of spending on Oregon’s health care transformation isn’t stopping nor will it go down.  Not to mention plenty of other Democrat pet spending ideas. Think “Cap and Trade,” “Carbon Tax”, and “Sales Tax.”  They’re all barreling your way.

Measure 101: They Lied

Remember Measure 101? Oregon’s new health insurance sales tax? Remember how they just needed this little bitty tax to “save” Medicaid? Remember how it was so desperately needed that if they didn’t get it, the poor and elderly would lose their insurance?

Yep. They lied about that too.

Listen to find out where the money from that new sales tax is actually going.

Oregon Democrats Punish Small Businesses

And don’t miss the discussion on yet new taxes, SB 1528B. The Oregon Democrats are working overtime to take away the very tax cuts Trump’s administration worked to get through. It is a tax on small businesses, including farmers and mom-and-pop stores—except for two professions. Tune in to hear who gets the loopholes.

When Empires Fall | Russian Collusion and … the NFL?

Show Summary: The more the Russian collusion onion is peeled back, the more clear it becomes the Democrats are at the center of it. Story after story this week shows the underhandedness of the Democrats, including setting up their political opponents by using the power of the federal government. Another empire of sorts is falling—the NFL. But could the whole “take a knee” scandal be part of a larger strategy? We know about the Democrats and Russian collusion. but the “NFL collusion” — with whom and by whom — will surprise you.

The more we peel back the Russian collusion onion the more we see the Democrats fingerprints on every aspect.  As the Inspector General rolls out the recovered text messages we see how Hillary, Warner, Schiff, and Obama look to be involved.

Russian Collusion Collusion Collusion

The latest domino, Senator Warner, wanted to secretly meet with a Russian oligarch in London while being careful of any paper trail.  We find out that two Russian comedians tripped up Schiff when he tried to get dirt on President Trump.  Hmm… These are the same people that jump in front of the nearest microphone to say how Trump is lying and that we shouldn’t trust him.  Hmm…

Forget Russian collusion. Forget Democrat collusion. This is about America.

If we could remove the ugliness of politics, shouldn’t both Democrats and Republicans be united against using the federal government to go after political opponents.? You’d think that even in today’s highly partisan Washington, this ought to be something that everyone could agree on.

But in reality we’re witnessing a moment in history when one side used the federal government to spy, got caught, and is now using the federal government to try to cover it all up. This is horrifying. Or should be.

Are the Democrats only sorry they got caught? Are the Republicans wishing they’d thought of it first? Why aren’t both sides united against stopping it from ever happening again?

KUIK Superstar Jayne Carroll talks Russian collusion on I Spy Radio
KUIK Superstar, Jayne Carroll

But who set the stage for changing the FBI into a weaponized agency?  Was it Obama, who, we found out this week, ” wants to know everything we’re doing.”

We welcome KUIK’s radio superstar, Jayne Carroll to discuss these actions by corrupted FBI agents and DOJ personnel and how our government, that is suppose to be responsive to the American people, are instead being used to do harm and not protect us as they’re supposed to do.

Super Bowl Wrap-Up

Burgess Owens - We know about the Democrats and Russian collusion but is there collusion in the NFL? And Why?
Former NFL star, Burgess Owens. “As heard on I Spy Radio…”

Then we talk with former Super Bowl winner, Burgess Owens, on what is really going on in the NFL and his thoughts of why they’re so protective of those who chose to kneel. He has some fascinating takes on the real reasons why they’re doing it.

Then we discuss the Congressional Black Caucus and their embarrassing performance at the State of the Union Address along with how the Black community is handling Obama’s lies about being involved in the FBI’s surveillance of Trump and the Hillary email scandal, his promises, and what he actually delivered. And is there a shift in the their outlook on Trump?
