(Opener) It has been a terribly busy week and not enough hours — (working behind the scenes, tryin’ to save Oregon) — while also trying to prepare for this week’s show. So I’m going to once again forgo my usual opener and get right to it.
Pastor Jackson Lah meyer is a member of the White House Faith Advisory Board, a published Author and the Lead Pastor of Sheridan Church in tulsa OK. As we head toward the 2026 midterms, his defining issue is the ‘growing fight’ for the Christian vote. Because both Republicans and now Democrats are pursuing Christian voters. And that definitely got our attention. Pastor, thanks for joining us today.

You know when it comes to faith I don’t have a lot of faith in Democrats being serious about faith. You have to show something. There has to be some kind of grounding in reality. And not only do most Democrat policies have no grounding in reality neither do their words. But they are very clever about the words they use.
They can easily trick people because too many people don’t take the time to learn about important issues, about America’s founding, — and our schools as we know, are letting us down on that regard America’s unique founding, miraculous founding really,
To get politics right, to get your political party right, you first need to get your relationship with God right.
But you also need to be involved. Don’t just complain from the sidelines. There is plenty of things to be doing if you don’t like what your party’s doing get involved become part of it.
This year, in Oregon, I think is the Republicans best chance at winning the governor’s race since the last time they won it. There are so many upsides right now. Democrats have destroyed the economy — they are chasing businesses out, the no gas tax bill will either be directly on the ballot or indirectly by pointing out in the voters pamphlets that the Democrat candidate voted for it – and then tried to get around the voters— that pesky democracy thing—by changing the date when people could vote on it.
Plus there are other tax referendums being prepared that will likely be on November ballot. IP 28 the insane far left animal rights bill will likely qualify and people will turn out to shoot that down., With the right candidate, we may even take the US Senate seat from Jeff the potato Merkley
There is a lot for Republicans to get excited about, because there is a lot to get people to go vote. With the right candidates running combined with all of the issues and problems that Oregonians are facing —because of the Democrats — they could draw enough Democrats and NAVs across the aisle to finally break the Democrats stranglehold on Oregon. I just don’t see how Oregon survives another four years of this disaster.
But it will take you to stand up. Because as we say every week, just like faith, the best information does you no good if you don’t use it. Reagan? What do you think.
