You’ll hear how the media is actively sabotaging America and how their efforts to destroy Trump impacts everyone. Even people who dislike Trump.

Why? Because when they don’t tell the truth, it harms all of us.

Scott McEwen is perhaps best known for American Sniper, which he co-authored with Chris Kyle. Since then, he has written his own series of books, the Sniper Elite series, and his latest book is Camp Valor (available on Amazon).

This week we talk to Scott, not only about his latest book, but what the media is doing to itself. Which has turned out to be a theme of ours of late, starting with last week’s show with Scott Adams.And we’ll continue that a bit more next week.

For now, we talk with Scott McEwen about some of the motivating factors that drove him to write this book.

What he’s seeing is generation that is in danger of losing its way. The news media. The education system. The gaming industry. It’s all coming together—and not in good ways. Is the next generation in danger of losing the freedoms the previous generations had fought and died for? Or worse—giving it away?

The next generation of patriots will face new threats, use new weapons, some of which haven’t even been invented yet. We need to give them the foundation they need to face these threats but also teach them to carry the torch of freedom forward.

Scott’s new book, Camp Valor, focuses on a troubled youth who fights to overcomes his past and find the strength and courage to overcome incredible odds. Camp Valor is also a story about finding hope and a seizing a second chance when it’s offered.

We also get some inside information on the Hammonds case — Eastern Oregon farmers who were targeted by the Obama administration—and the Malheur standoff.

How many times, since June of 2015, have the Never Trumpers thought “Ah ha! This is the gaff that will finally take him out!” Only to find in the next day’s reporting that his popularity has increased. Is Trump a magician? Maybe. But his magic wand is persuasion.

We’ll also look at how the Democrats are setting their hair on fire every time Trump does something — even when that something is good for America. Is this an example at examples of bad persuasion? Could the Democrats’ persuasion actually work?

On this week’s show, we take today’s divided America and look back to compare to other moments in history. When, believe it or not, America was even more divided then than it is today.

Our Annual Fourth of July Show

The Fourth of July is, and always has been, a unifying moment on the calendar. In some ways, even more than Christmas, because not everyone is a Christian but we’re all Americans.

And every year, we take a look back at periods of American history, to understand what America was going through, how the Fourth was celebrated in times past, and what those times and celebrations can teach us today.

This Year: Our 8th Annual Fourth of July Show

America is pretty divided right now. Half the country hates the current President — just like half hated the previous President. There’s the Russian investigation that, depending on which side of the political aisle you’re on, you either think proves Trump colluded with Russians or is a complete witch hunt. But you’ve also got Antifa routinely rioting, and Rep. Maxine Waters is openly calling for people to harass members of the administration and even Trump supporters.

Could this be any worse?

Actually, yes.

Fourth of July in 1800

The often overlooked election of 1800 was probably the most contentious time in American politics. And there were some amazing similarities between then and now.

We talk with Greg Leo about how the political war between Adams and Jefferson nearly tore the new country apart. Like today, both sides back then had their own media—the equivalent of Fox News vs. CNN. If you thought Sarah Sanders getting kicked out of a restaurant was something, you’ll have to hear what supporters of one side or the other went through.

But even in those dark and uncertain times, America pulled through.

Fourth of July in 1843

This year also marks the 175th anniversary of the vote in the Oregon frontier to side with America.

In 1843, the settlers began to realize they needed some form of government. Find out what happened to start the movement toward government. Then, as now, civic involvement could be a tricky business. Find out what carrots the leaders used to get the settlers to turnout and vote.

Fourth of July in the Great Depression

While much of America’s history has been filled with the promise of freedom, liberty, and prosperity, the Great Depression from 1929 to World War II was a time of struggle for many Americans.

During the Depression, many parents couldn’t afford to keep their own children and were forced to send them to orphanages. Other children took their lives into their own hands and hopped rail cars in search of food and work.

It wasn’t just America. The Depression was worldwide and many countries fell into the trap of totalitarian governments, leading to the rise of the Nazis in Germany, fascism in Italy, and the continued advance of socialism and communism in Europe.

But even during these dark times, the promise of Liberty burned bright and the Fourth of July was a beacon of hope to all Americans. And as America became the leader of the Free World, our promise of freedom and liberty was a beacon to the rest of the world too.

This Week: Part 2 of our interview with former CIA whistle-blower, John Kiriakou, who was targeted for punishment.

As you heard last week, Kiriakou’s case was an example of the abuse of power. It was eerily similar (okay, exactly like) to what we are seeing in the Mueller probe. Last week, we also heard echoes of what has come out in the Inspector General’s report released last Thursday: people in positions of power, using that power to attack and destroy people they don’t like. Setting themselves up as judge, jury, and executioner.

What you’ll hear is a story that is eerily similar to what came out of the IG report and to what we know about the Mueller probe. It’s a story about federal agencies being used to harass and target enemies of the Deep State. People who are meant to be made an example of so others don’t dare cross them — or dare to expose what really happened.

Our guest, John Kiriakou, faced their wrath and abuse of power in a very personal way. He’s the “whistleblower” who went on ABC and confirmed the CIA was using torture on terrorists. Angry at being exposed, someone in the agency sought revenge and unleashed the FBI on John, including a secret four-year investigation that tracked his every move, including an effort to entrap him for treason.

So, this week we continue that conversation. We dig a little deeper into John Brennan, Robert Mueller, and John Kerry. We also find out more information on the investigators (or were they spies?) in Trump’s presidential campaign. But was Trump the only campaign being spied on?

Tune in to hear the leverage and tentacles that the CIA has over government officials and how they get it. And is there a current member of Oregon’s Congressional delegation on whom the CIA may have some dirt?

John Kiriakou CIA whistle-blower who went to prison when the CIA used the FBI to silence him as a warning to other whistle-blowers

On today’s show, John Kiriakou will walk you through what it was like to be recruited (out of the blue) by the CIA, his training, and their attempt to recruit him into their enhanced interrogation program.

Things were going well until he was accused by ABC News of being one of the torturers of Abu Zubaydah, who was waterboarded. When John went on TV to defend himself and told Brian Ross about the program, which by then was declassified, someone in the CIA decided to silence him.

Join us as we hear John Kiriakou’s incredible story. How the CIA used the FBI to spy on him—an American citizen and patriot—in an effort to silence an enemy of the Deep State.

Tune in to hear how someone in the CIA urged the Obama administration to reopen his case, how the FBI launched a secret surveillance on him, tried to entrap him into committing treason, and when that didn’t work, used their bottomless prosecutorial checkbook to try to bankrupt him.

On this Memorial Day weekend, we remember those who’ve gone before. We salute those who died in the service of this country, who put their lives on the line to protect and defend our country.

But we also should remember those who came before us who helped build this country. Who lived perfectly ordinary lives. Who taught us. Preached sermons. Who raised crops and businesses and the next generation. Who voted and participated and who helped keep alive the dream our Founding Fathers gave us.

We all know the saying, freedom is one generation from extinction. And while that’s true, we also hear all the time that our freedom is under attack today more than it ever has been before. But it really is true. Our Freedom is under attack now more than ever. Why? Because the enemies of Freedom keep coming up with new and inventive ways to undermine freedom.

Think for a moment of where we are today. And then think how bad it will be one generation from now.

FBI Spies and Lies

In the 70s it was Watergate. A second-rate burglary of a political opponent by operatives of the Nixon administration that led to a coverup and his resignation.

Now, some 40 years later, we have “Spygate”.

Instead of a second-rate burglary by political aides, the Obama administration used actual trained and hired spies and informants from the FBI to go after a political opponent. This led to a coordinated and well-planned effort to stage a not-so-silent coup attempt of a duly elected president. We’re in the middle of the attempted coverup. But will Obama face charges? Will his co-conspirators face charges?

A generation after Nixon, we have less freedom and less Justice. Every aspect of our life is spied on by every element of government. In Nixon’s time, people went to jail. Today, those responsible for spying on a political opponent seem highly unlikely to face any real justice. You can barely even fire them.

Uncomfortable Questions about FBI Spygate

Imagine the non-stop howling and shrieking by the mainstream media if George W. Bush had used the FBI, CIA, and to investigate Obama because they thought he might be a Muslim.

They’d still be wiping up the blood from the set of CNN as a steady stream of heads exploded non-stop for months at a time. But the FBI’s Spygate? Silence and denial where there should be utter

But something strange happened as a result of Obama was weaponizing the federal government against its citizens: the truth came out. Yes. The truth. The Russian collusion has gone out the window. Now, the truth emerges as the FBI Spygate destroys Russian collusion narrative.

The whole Russian Collusion narrative has fallen apart. #Mueller‘s best hope now is that some low-level Trump campaign aid may have forwarded an email chain letter that eventually went to someone of Russian heritage.

The truth is, we know Obama’s FBI, CIA, IRS, NSA, and others were all snooping on candidate Trump. We know Obama was using the Attorney Generals to go after global warming deniers. We know Obama used the IRS to harass and target conservative non-profits.

So here’s the question: was Obama not the first to do this?

Could this be why the FBI has been so unwilling to admit there were actual spies, “human intelligence,” being used to infiltrate the Trump team. And even try to entrap Trump officials?

But where are the sensible Democrats? They’re silent. And that’s a mistake. Because

if freedom is one generation away from extinction, remaining silent only speeds that extinction. If Democrats are okay with Obama spying on and setting up Trump to take a fall — they’re giving permission to Trump to do the same thing to a Democrat opponent.

We should all be united on this. Freedom is worth defending. Even if it means fighting for your opponent’s rights and freedom.

On today’s show, we’ll talk national issues with Kristina Wong of Brietbart News. We’ll talk the demise of the Russian collusion narrative, we’ll talk SypGate, and a surprising reason why the NK talks may have suddenly been cancelled.

And we’ll talk statewide issues with The First Lady of Conservative Talk Radio, Jayne Carroll. We’ll ask some uncomfortable questions about what happened in the Oregon primary.Sam Carpenter supporters think Greg Wooldridge may have been a plant to split the conservative vote and get Knute Buehler in. Was he?

Regardless, the Republican Party of Oregon is floundering. And failing. Declining numbers of voters registered as Republicans (a paltry 27%), no energy, no excitement, and a poor turnout in the primary. What can be done?

We’ll discuss repairing the Republican party here in Oregon and what that might look like.

This Week: Monday, May 14th, is the 70^th anniversary of Israel’s Independence. Also on Monday, under President Trump’s directive, the US is opening their embassy in Israel. But it’s happening when so much else is swirling all around them. Not all of it bad—in fact some of it is downright miraculous.

With the mainstream media pundits predicting nothing but doom and gloom no matter what Trump does, we thought we’d turn to someone who actually understands the conflict. Someone who knows the Arabic and Islamic culture of anti-Israel. Because he lived it. And was willing to die for it.

Insights on Israel from an Expert (Former) Hater

We go to a real expert, not a pundit. A person who was born in Beirut, trained by the Muslim Brotherhood and PLO, and later commissioned by a Saudi Prince to come to America to wage a cultural jihad, and who reads many of the native languages of the Middle East. We turn to Kamal Saleem.

Born in the very land where hatred of everything American and Jewish was taught, Kamal’s later transformation to Christianity only helps us untangle the Islamic religious/political response but the cultural and emotional response surrounding Israel.

Israel’s Independence at 70 Years

This week, Kamal talks about why Israel’s founding took his family by complete surprise, not to mention the surrounding countries as well. Surprisingly, it wasn’t political.

We examine Israel’s formation, its survival through 10 wars, not to mention countless skirmishes, and the current changing relationships with their Middle East neighbors. Neighbors such as Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and the most dangerous one of all— Iran.

We discuss: how Syria is slowly regaining ground and chasing out ISIS; that Saudi Arabia, is actually making peaceful overtures toward Israel; and how Iran is pulling the strings of a lot of countries. But do they really mean it. If you’ve heard Kamal before, you know about the Muslim doctrine of taqiyya and lying to one’s enemies. Should Israel be trusting? And what are the tell-tale signs of lying or trust for the Saudis?

That Iran Deal: Trump Right or Wrong and Why Now?

If you wondered why Trump (who said all along he wanted to withdraw from the Iran Deal), waited until now to do it, you’ll hear why he did and why waiting played right into his hand. It turns out there was a very goo reason why Trump waited until now instead of when he first had the chance months ago.
