This week: Stories in the Making
It’s Christmas time. And that always makes us think about the Christmas story. So this week, we’re focusing on the importance of stories and storytelling. And, how this could lead to a happily ever after for Oregon.
Jim Huggins holds two doctorates, is an ordained pastor, has a master’s degree in engineering—and before that was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Now, he is the CEO, Producer, and Director of a successful film company, New Shepherd Films (www.newshepherdfilms.com). Could all that experience be just what Oregon needs?
Or we could just go on with reruns: keep electing the same people to office and somehow expect different results.

Restore the Constitution: Eliminate the Administrative State
Show Summary: The Constitution is supposed to guarantee our rights. But over the centuries since our founding, socialists have steadily eroded our rights and the influence of the Constitution. In fact, for much of American government, the Constitution doesn’t apply. This week, we examine the “administrative state” where normal constitutional principles (or even law) don’t apply. We also look at how we fix it—and hold people accountable.

Original Air Dates: November 20th & 21st, 2021 | Guests: Jonathan Emord
This week: We have a dual justice system and one where the Constitution doesn’t apply: the administrative state. It is a true return to authoritarianism — the rule of the king — where the government literally holds all power and you, the citizen, have no power. Except whatever the government deems to allow you. No Constitution. No rights.
As one of America’s top constitution lawyers for the last 35 years, Jonathan Emord has seen, up close and personally, the purposeful destruction of America’s founding principles of liberty and freedom from government. The Constitution outlines the boundaries of the government. But the authoritarians have been undermining it for well over two centuries.
Be sure to catch Jonathan Emord’s previous appearances on I Spy Radio: The Authoritarians Part One and Part Two.
Our previous shows with Jonathan focused on the rise of socialism in America. Including the Southern democrats’ use of socialism/Marxist ideology to defend slavery. And we looked at the beginnings of the administrative state under FDR.
This week, we dig a little deeper into the administrative state, which is the “Bizzaro World” version of our Constitutional Republic. And how do we untangle it? The answer may be simpler than you think.
Which rule of law wins? The administrative state? Or the Constitution? Because right now, we’re seeing this play out with the covid-19 vaccine mandates and passports.
And we look at justice. Holding people accountable. Could Durham’s investigation go a lot higher than just the low-hanging fruit and middle-men Durham has so far indicted?
One of America’s top constitutional lawyers thinks so. Tune in to find out why.

Original Air Dates: November 6th & 7th, 2021 | Guests: Donna Jackson & James Hirsen
This week: defending faith is defending freedom. And on Tuesday, we saw a lot of both as parents rose up to push back on being called “domestic terrorists” by their own government. Especially for exercising their rights of free speech to stand up to school boards determined to shove Marxist ideology and Critical Race Theory garbage on their kids.
As we’ve said for some time now, you won’t see a renewal in America until we see a revival in the Church.
Marxist/Socialist Attacks on Faith
Marxism and all its forms (socialism, communism, etc.) is the enemy of faith. That’s not opinion, that’s fact. Marx famously called religion the drug of the people. That’s because the two cannot coexist. Marxism and socialism will not share space with and cannot tolerate faith in anything other than government.
Donna Jackson from Project 21 joins us as we look at a SCOTUS case where coach Joseph Kennedy was fired for kneeling alone for a moment of prayer after football games and the chilling effect this could have on public officials. But is it time to go on the offense? Clearly, sitting back, staying on the sidelines, and letting things happen has not worked because the professional agitators (paid for with your tax dollars no less), have seized control of the ball. And won’t give up.
With both our guests, we also look at the stunning wins Tuesday night at all levels — and by many who expressed their faith and defense of America and her values, defeating progressives at every level of government. Are we seeing a revival in the face of Leftists trying to reform America?
Wait. Faith in Hollywood?
We’re also joined by James Hirsen, author of the bestselling Tales from the Left Coast. James weighs in on the remarkable rejection of the Left’s ideology in Tuesday’s elections. Some results were practically miraculous. Including on in Buffalo, NY, which we hadn’t heard about.
But is there, perhaps, even in revival happening in Hollywood?
More actors open up about their faith, sharing about God’s role in their lives. But this has its dangers too. As many actors, in mostly-Godless Hollywood have found out.
Have Faith. In God, in America
What do you think? Are we seeing a revival across America? A revival of faith and a revival of pro-America? And what do we need to do to keep this rolling?

Show Summary: The first duty of government is to protect people. That’s why defending police and law enforcement is so important. But a new book, The Obama Gang, points to an Obama sabotage — a coordinated effort to undermine police in America. Here in Oregon, the right to defend yourself is always under attack. Did Republicans sell out? Literally?
URGENT: Be sure to contact the Oregon House Committee on Rules members and urge them to bring HJR18 to the floor. HJR 18 would end the governor’s emergency orders. See list of emails below.

Original Air Dates: May 1st & 2nd, 2021 | Steve Pomper & Rob Taylor
This Week: How many times have you watched that scary movie where somebody hears a noise, and as the stairs creak, they head downstairs in the dark while you scream at them, “Are you crazy?! Turn on the light!” Or think, “There’s no way I’d do that without a gun!”
That pretty much sums up how Oregon’s legislature, and many blue states, are treating its citizens. Because asking citizens to keep guns locked up, or not allowing law enforcement to do its job, feels like you’re living unprotected in that creaking and dark house.
With the good guys maybe not arriving in time.
Defend yourself? Good luck with that
On this week’s show, we take a look at how a society breaks down, and tyranny becomes the rule of law. The stressors our police face become not only worrisome but dangerous as they drop their shields and find another way of life. It’s happening right now in real time with hundreds of cops fleeing the large cities they were trying to protect — only to be denied the tools, or political support, they needed to get the job done.
And at a time when police are hamstrung, in Oregon politicians are making it harder for people to protect themselves in the absence of law enforcement. New, tyrannical gun laws have been passed force law-abiding citizens to lock guns up all in name of “making you safer.” Hint: locking up guns makes criminals safer.
The Obama Gang: New Book Points to Obama Sabotage
First up, we talk with retired Seattle police officer and author of five books, Steve Pomper. Mr. Pomper is author of the recently released, The Obama Gang.
We discuss his work as an officer and why he chose to leave the Seattle police. And what he feels will happen as police forces continue to shrink in size and authority.
You’ll also hear how Barack Obama (through his post-presidency foundation), assembled, launched, and wages the new assault on American law enforcement. If it sounds like sabotage, it’s because it is.
In Oregon, we lock up our businesses. And our guns.
Then Oregon’s own, Rob Taylor, joins us talking about what has happened to our 2nd Amendment rights during this year’s Oregon’s legislature, and why. First, we find out the devastating affects Governor Kate’s lock down orders have already had on small towns. And what will the new round of lock downs have? And just where are the leaders who should be defending their citizens?
Did Oregon Republicans Sell Out on Gun Rights?
A new bill, SB554, passed that requires ALL guns to be locked up. The bill makes criminals of everyday Oregonians who want their guns at the ready should an actual criminal decide their house looks ripe for the plucking. Guess who in that scenario does not have their gun locked up?
While Republicans (and Democrats) have successfully used walking out in the past to deny quorum over important bills, for some reason, the Republicans stayed and allowed SB554 to pass. They didn’t vote for it, but they didn’t stop it. What gives?
Could it be that Oregon Republican legislators were “bought off”…? Oregon voters may not be too happy to hear what happened and why. And one Senator in particular may bear the brunt of it.
Take Action! End the Covid “Emergency”
As mentioned during the show, a joint resolution, HJR18, is a simple sentence that reads, “Be It Resolved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Oregon: Pursuant to ORS 401.204, the state of emergency declared by the Governor in Executive Order 20-03 on March 8, 2020, relating to the COVID-19 outbreak in Oregon, is terminated.” Short. Simple. To the point.
HJR 18 is currently in the House Committee on Rules. We urge you to copy and past the email addresses below, and ask they bring it to the floor. Be polite and respectful. But be strong. it can be as simple as “Please support HJR 18 and bring it to the floor.” It’s time to end the endless emergency orders.

This Week: How do we put a value on achieving life’s goals? Do we assess an achievement by personal satisfaction? By how we’ve helped others? Or does the value of achieving a life’s goal go deeper? What if the cost is you won’t give up, no matter what?
For a select few, this is their life. When all seems lost, nothing is working out, and nobody seems to be there to help when you need it most, and you feel physically and mentally broken, you don’t give up. That’s a life goal and struggle that is achieved by America’s best and, for the most part, we’ll never hear about. Navy SEALs who push beyond anything else no matter what they face, they refuse to give up until their mission is completed.
Hell Week and Beyond
But to get to that level, they have to go through Hell. Hell Week. The specialized training that the best of the best must find a way to push through.
Scott McEwen’s new book is Hell Week and Beyond: The Making of a Navy SEAL. We interview him to find out what Navy SEALs go through but also the lessons we can learn on how to survive our own personal hell weeks. You’ll hear about the types of tests and rotations these incredible superheroes-in-the-making need to pass in order to stay with the program—and who instructs them along the way. And you’ll hear what can wash a SEAL out of the program and what won’t, and why the one thing that they all have in common keeps them there when others give up
Tune in to get insights into how those values can become a part of everybody’s life. Because in America today with the Far Left’s effort to change America into something that is unrecognizable to most people, we also can’t give up – no matter what.

For a party that claims they embrace the Black community, why is it democrats seem to hate Blacks who choose to be individuals and think for themselves? Don’t they love all Blacks? Or just the ones that fit their preconceived notion of Blacks? Wait a second. Isn’t that racist?
Yes. Yes, it is.
Black History Month
Originally, we scheduled Nadra Enzi and Melanie Collette to talk about Black History Month. We came across through Project 21, a program of the National Center for Public Policy. But what they had to say was so interesting, we only spent a one segment on Black History Month.
In fact, look for both Nadra Enzi and Melanie Collette to come back on to I Spy Radio in the near future.
Nadra Enzi
Project 21, a leading voice of conservative black men and women for over 25 years. They are focused on smaller government and indivisible rights and stand together to offset the far-left’s assault on the economic gains they made during the Trump years, not only for minorities but all Americans.
We welcome first-time guest, Nadra Enzi, a self-described “American Cougar” and advocate for residents who are “clawing back” against challenges to create an environment of safety against crime. Nadra talks to us about the challenges faced by black conservatives and gives us his insights to the many Blacks who are conservative but why they stay quiet. And the incredible pressure applied to them by those who don’t want them to have a voice.
Nadra, who works tirelessly against crime, also gives us an inspirational look at the hope they’re building in the black community.
Melanie Collette
Then we welcome another first-time guest, Melanie Collette, who is the host of “Money Talk with Melanie” and a guest host of Patriot Tonight on SiriusXM. Melanie is also working on her PhD in business administration and management at Northcentral University.
In addition, Melanie has worked in education for many years and she takes us into the current abyss of the educational system and the pressures on a black woman to conform to democrat ideology within that system. Ideologies that she sees as abusive to her but, equally important, the policies and ideologies are abusive to her students. Little wonder that she is currently writing a book series, “The Angry Educator.”
If you think that challenges can’t be overcome, tune in to find some very inspirational surprises.

This Week: Many of us groan, especially those who live in blue states, when the legislative session is upon us. With Oregon in the lead for making everything obnoxious by following the mantras for “citizen safety”: keeping your distance, suffocating under hot and uncomfortable face coverings, or locking our children out of enjoying sports and social events. We don’t have to look very hard to figure out why blue state governors are taking some heat.
But not to worry. Who needs fiscal responsibility when the money cavalry is on its way in the $2 trillion Covid Blue State Bailout.
Gruesome Newsome
Could it be that liberal California might actually kick their idiot, er, governor to the curb? As of this writing, over 1.4 million Californians signed the recall petitions. And, surprisingly, Silicon Valley CEO’s joined the rebellion. They sent big donations to the recall effort.
Gasp!
Could it be that blue state governors, and state and federal legislators, are beginning to find out that a free people won’t be tied to their draconian orders? We can hope!
Scott McEwen
Scott McEwen, a former Oregonian who has lived in California for many years. He talks to us about what has happened in California, Newsome’s overreach, and those candidates who are already lining up to run for governor when the recall completes its goal.
Scott also discusses the cancel culture and what is happening with censorship and why. And of course we can’t let Scott go without getting his take on international security issues, such as China and Korea — and what a Biden administration may do to Middle East peace. Did you know there was a coup in Myanmar? Yep. Myanmar (aka Burma) just had a coup over, of all things, voter fraud.
Rob Taylor
Next up we welcome back Rob Taylor, who himself has been impacted by an attempt to cancel and censor. Rob says how his e-mail account with MailChimp was permanently suspended for a Patriot Prayer link he had in one e-mail. No warning. Just cancelled.
Then, to add to the censorship, suddenly far-left radicals in Coos County started calling the station where his radio show airs. They demanded he be cancelled. And they started trying to boycott his advertisers.
Far-left radicals who want only their voices heard but no others. Is that really what they think of as “freedom of speech”?
Rob also catches us up on 2nd Amendments issues here in Oregon, including current legislature bills. And a brand new anti-gun tactic the Left is trying out in our Oregon Petri Dish.

EXCELLENT article. 5 steps to survive the Marxist Purge (WND, Jan 11, 2021)
From here on, under their new relentlessly repeated revisionist narrative, Trump will be the American Hitler and every Deplorable a white supremacist. In their minds, and to the Blue Pill Public, this will justify their every action against conservative speech, thought, symbol, organization and person.
Step 1 is to document everything. And this is especially true because we know the Left wants to purge history and especially of America’s history and founding.
The Eastwood Effect: Heroes Fighting for Freedom | Skarlatos & McEwen
Air Dates: July 18 & 19, 2020 | Alek Skarlatos & Scott McEwen
This Week: When it comes to American heroes, no one tells their stories better than Clint Eastwood. This week, we have two authors whose books have been made into movies directed by Clint Eastwood: Alek Skarlatos, who helped stop a terrorist on a Paris train. And Scott McEwen, who tells the story of Chris Kyle in American Sniper.
American Stories
There are a lot of American heroes. Some take major roles and go on to great things, leading the nation and shaping its destiny. There are the every day heroes, like our police and first responders. But there’s one thing in common: they always have help from often unsung heroes—every day people.
Carl Jung and other psychologists—most recently, Jordan Peterson—have observed that “our brains are hard-wired for stories.” It’s how we process and make sense of the world. You may have heard of Joseph Campbell’s The Hero with a Thousand Faces, often referred to as “the Hero’s Journey.” In it, he describes how the hero of stories across cultures all have tremendous similarities. Not just the heroes themselves but how the stories are structured. As part of the hero’s story, his or her journey, they have companions and encounters that help them along the way and to give them what they need to defeat the enemy.
Have you ever thought you are part of the story?
Alek Skarlatos: An American Hero
We start our show with Alek Skarlatos, the Republican candidate for Congressional District 4 in Southwest Oregon. This will be the first of a series of interviews with Alek over the next few months. In this first interview we want to get to know him, the man, and find out more about his life story and why he’s running for the CD4 seat. Especially now that his race has been deemed by Cook’s Analytics as one of the top races in the nation that is most likely to flip from Democrat to Republican. (Which we’re sure Peter Defazio is well aware of.)
With a tremendous fund-raising machine, that out raised Peter DeFazio by 3 to 1 in the second quarter this year, Alek has raised nearly a million dollars in that quarter alone. Whereas the 33-year incumbent, Defazio, only raised a little over $300 thousand.
The Right Man at the Right Time
With a lot of momentum on his side, Alek has also has a fascinating story. A story that he’ll talk about as one of three heroes who, on a Paris-bound train, stopped a terrorist killer. Clint Eastwood made their story into a movie and Alek talks about the experience of being in the film. He also discusses where he grew up, and why DeFazio may have out worn his welcome in his own district.
Alek Skarlatos saved lives that day on the train to Paris. Can he save Oregon’s 4th Congressional district from a career politician who has done nothing but watch as his district became the poorest district in the state?
Be sure to visit Alek’s website, alekfororegon.com, to keep up to date and donate to help him win
By helping Alek win, you can be part of his journey. And you can help give President Trump a House of Representatives that will support him, not attack everything he does. Imagine what we could get done. Real reforms for a better America.
Weapons for Heroes: Scott McEwen
Then we have bestselling author, Scott McEwen, who co-authored American Sniper, the story of Chris Kyle. The book and mo vie became a national and international success telling Chris’s story as America’s top sniper. Scott discusses what it meant to co-write the book with his friend Chris and what he learned from this American hero. A relationship that ended up telling one of the greatest American war stories by two men who loved their country.
And at a time when the military needed it most.
Strategies to Push Back against Tyrants
But we can’t have Scott on the show without asking him to wear his attorney hat because there have been some important developments in the ongoing government lockdowns that people might be able to use to stand up and fight back.
And so we ask him about some of the pushback that’s already starting to happen over mandatory mask orders and lock downs with this whole covid response. For example, the masks. Not to mention shutting down businesses based on false data. And of course, there’s the bad data.
Yes, hydroxychloroquine works. No, masks don’t work. See the links below for more
You’ll hear him discuss what he’s seen in California, and his feelings about the freedoms Americans have been asked to walk from. And here are the weapons: we talk about the potential lawsuits that might materialize because of recent studies that could lead to possible class-action suits against Democrat governors. Don’t miss his answers.

This Week: We’ve heard many times that, had Hillary actually won, we would never have learned any of what the FBI did. About Obama weaponizing the FBI against his enemies. Or about Obama attempting to knock out candidate Trump and sabotage his presidency if he won. (The infamous “insurance policy.”) But now the question is what will happen if Trump doesn’t win his second term?
We’re in the middle of experiencing some of that possible reality as far-left governors storm our states rights and target churches and gun rights. And the media works overtime to lie, and spin, and make any positive a negative, and any negative Trump’s fault.
But what about the evidence that has been uncovered demonstrating the complete breakdown of legal processes that was supposed to protect us and our constitutional rights?
Rod Rosenstein Hearing
On Wednesday we saw the Ron Rosenstein hearing, and heard the bald face lies he told now compared to a year or two ago, because of what we have found out since. In part due to investigative journalists who never gave up in pursuit of the truth.
Enter award-winning investigative journalist, John Solomon. Mr. Solomon gives us the insights to measure what Rosenstein said, as we watched him—a person in the hierarchy of the FBI and DOJ—testify that he was not responsible for anything. Anything. We have to wonder, based on his testimony, what did this man do when he was on the job? Because according to him, he did nothing but count his fingers while chaos and colleagues, undermining the rule of law, surrounded him. Rod Rosenstein threw the entire FBI under the bus. He said he had responsibility, but he was not responsible. Huh?
What was also encouraging at Wednesday’s hearing is that we saw that the Democrats have nothing. They were still trying to trot out the Russian collusion theory when it’s been proven as a factual lie. At a hearing that was about the origins of the Russia collusion hoax.
John Solomon: What Rod Rosenstein Hearing Means for Durham Investigation
Tune in to hear John Solomon’s analysis of the hearing and what it means for the immediate future. What you’ll hear is how the daggers just may be coming out as one official, Rosenstein, takes aim at another official, McCabe, to try to deflect the legal finger away from himself. And McCabe isn’t being bashful about pointing that legal finger right back at Rosenstein, saying he’s the liar. Who do we believe? And who will cave first?
And be sure to listen for what all of this portends for the future of the current investigations by John Durham and others. This summer. We think you’ll hear why John Solomon was in such a good mood.
We also talk with Mr. Solomon about his book Fallout: : Nuclear Bribes, Russian Spies, and the Washington Lies that Enriched the Clinton and Biden Dynasties as he leads us through why the Russian collusion tactic really happened. (John’s book will be released July 14, but can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.)
All of this right as we watch more economic recovery, protests settle down, blue states struggle to admit they were wrong on taxing more. And why it’s so important to reelect President Trump to take us into the next term with even a bigger American greatness. And justice. Because if he’s not elected, it will all go away.
Rod Rosenstein is just the beginning.

This Week: Memorial Day weekend reminds us of all the American men and women in the military that lost their lives to protect our freedoms. And we’ve just lived through how, in only a few short weeks, those freedoms could be lost.
Not to mention she could cancel your First Amendment rights to gather to worship by declaring churches a health hazard — while deciding Wal-Mart was not.
But it begs the larger question. What are they so afraid of? The virus? Or losing power? Right now, it seems they are more afraid of losing their grip on power than winning against the virus.
Entrepreneurs and Reopening America
It’s a mixed show this weekend. But in a good way. We bring to our show for the first time a quite different type of show for I Spy with our guest Clay Clark, an award-winning businessman for his entrepreneurial expertise. Clay has helped over 2,300 businesses and we wanted to get his thoughts on reopening America. And the important role entrepreneurs can and will play.
Clay discusses his devout beliefs in God and our county’s amazing freedoms. Using humor to approach difficult issues, Clay also talks about his deep frustrations with shut down orders. He points to Sweden, who despite not having any shutdowns, has had only 6 deaths per one million persons. He discusses their approach to COVID and why they have such a low death rate, along with the wrong decisions made here that led to worse results, despite being “based on science.”
Science will Save Us! Or is it being used to push Fear?
Not stopping there, Clay launches into government orders that keep shifting as “the science” shifts and what it’s done to business owners, let alone families. Or experts using error-filled computer models, which were never right, as the justification to keep us all locked up. And as states start to reopen and the fears some may feel, Clay, talks about what it will take for people to rebuild their life, or start a new business, or how to keep a business going.
As his sense of humor targets those politicians and experts who have given us ridiculous rules to follow, it’s a show that you will want to seatbelt yourself in and prepare for takeoff.
Fear Unmasked: Discover the truth about the Corona Virus Shutdown
We also spend a couple of segments discussing his recent ebook, Fear Unmasked: Discover the Truth about the Corona Virus Shutdown. The book is available as a free e-book because it was banned on Amazon. You’ll have to tune in to hear why.
But we can say it exposes Dr. Fauci and his work with the Bill Gates Foundation as they rush toward a vaccine and virus tracking, which they hope will be forced on every American.
And before you think it will never happen here, famed attorney Alan Dershowitz—who only a few months ago was defending the President against unconstitutional impeachment efforts—recently aired his true feelings and said you have no Constitutional right to not be vaccinated. The government, he said, has the absolute right to drag you to a doctor and forcibly plunge the needle in your arm.
These are the “freedoms” our brave vets fought and died for?
Check out Alan Dershowitz appalling video, in which he proclaims The State can force you to get a vaccine and you have no Constitutional right to say no. Fast forward to 21:00
And don’t miss Clay’s announcement of his big Memorial Day, outdoor church gathering in Chicago where thousands are expected to gather. Go here for more details and check the Facebook page for live streams of the event.) Christian leadership, such as Mike Huckabee are helping to get the word out. Live streaming the event he’s hoping many will watch as they remember our fallen.

“Let me put it very clearly: You have no Constitutional right not to be vaccinated. … You have no right not to wear a mask. And if you refuse to be vaccinated, the State has the power to literally take you to a doctor’s office and plunge a needle into your arm.“
“The role of the citizen in the Covid dystopia is to applaud the state, not question it.”
“How has the subjugation of democracy, liberty, daily life and reason to Covid hysteria been so successful? Through terror. It is not an exaggeration to say that the government launched a campaign of terror against the populace. Government adviser Professor Robert Dingwall is right to say that officials have ‘effectively terrorised’ people into believing that coronavirus will kill them. We have been incited to fear not only a disease, but each other.”
“Polls show that many people are now reluctant to go back to normal life. Many want schools to remain closed. There is fear about returning to work.”
