It’s our annual Fourth of July show! Freedom and independence! Our Founding Father’s hopes and dreams live on — and look no further than what happened with “Brexit” as the U.K. voted to leave the European Union and regain control of its future and destiny, rather than be a slave to bureaucrats in Brussels.

Freedom is never easy to achieve.  In fact, when it gets right down to it, it’s amazing how much people fear freedom. Why? Because freedom and independence means you’re responsible for your own future. Worse, politicians try to cling to their own power by making people fear their own freedom. Leading up the vote to leave the EU, there was a lot of fear mongering by the “elite” who desperately wanted to scare their own people into thinking leaving the EU was akin to committing suicide.

It came down to trust. The “Remain” politicians didn’t (and don’t) have faith in their own people to succeed or to be capable of taking care of themselves. It was the brilliance of our Founding Fathers to recognize that while human nature is such that people in government will try to accumulate power, they also trusted the American people with the responsibility of their own freedom. They recognized you couldn’t be “partly free”. So they enshrined the rights of freedom and protected people from their own government and guarded against the pursuit of power.

Celebrate with us this weekend as we celebrate the Fourth of July, America’s Independence Day.  Our in-house historian, Greg Leo, takes us through some of the hard and trying times our country went through and what the 4th of July meant for us and other countries to see America stand for freedom.  Listen to hear about the first big milestone, the 50th anniversary of the Fourth, some of the celebrations that took place over the past 240 years and don’t miss how history could have been changed with one meeting right here in Oregon.

As the presidential elections continue, tensions are brewing within our political leadership circles that shed light on their intense desire to hold onto power.  Power that doesn’t translate to keeping American’s safe.  American leadership seem to feel that other cultures are more valuable than our own.  That uttering the words “radical Islamic terrorists”  is unfair to say, as Islamic terrorists focus on destroying America by exploiting our current immigration policies.

These same American leaders point to Europe, as the path of finding our values, as we, on the American shores watch Europe be swallowed up by mass groups of refugees who believe Sharia Law outweighs their host countries’ own laws. Once again, America is the problem. Our Constitutionally guaranteed laws are the problem.

Agenda2This week we examine from two different vantage points how America is under attack and the breakdown of our American leadership on keeping us safe.  The first comes from Curtis Bowers, with a new film Agenda 2: Masters of Deceit.

His first film Agenda: Grinding Down America focused on the history of how communism has gotten into every level of government.  With his new film, he looks at the current situations and the places they have infiltrated — including evangelical churches.  Curtis will be touring Oregon from June 20th thru the 25th  showing his film with a Q & A afterwards.  We’ll have showings times and places on I Spy’s webpage.

Obama's attacks on America are workingOur next guest is Jeff Schwilk, a San Diego-based border security expert who served over 20 years in the US Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant and senior intelligence chief. He helped plan the 1st Marine Division’s assault on Baghdad and oversaw the generation of hundreds of intelligence reports pertinent to the Iraq War and the War on Terror.

Now retired, Jeff has founded San Diegans for Secure Borders Coalition, and on our show walks us through the flood that is occurring on our southern borders.  We discuss the massive security hole this presents, home-grown terrorists, and attacks on our culture. Listen to find out the real conditions for those living close to our southern border as our American leadership turns a willfully blind eye.

When Obama used the IRS to attack the Tea Party, people on both sides of the aisle were appalled. Naturally, Obama denied any responsibility. He would never condone such an attack on free speech.

Funny, then, how his administration is now using the FBI to attack free speech. That’s right. They’re using the power and crushing weight of the government to go after climate-change “deniers.” What is this? The 1400s Spanish Inquisition?

The Attack on Free Speech

Back in April we did a show titled Climate Hustle: The Rise of the Deniers (show #6-17, archived on our webpage) where we discussed how the Obama’s administration hated dissent.  To the point that Obama’s Attorney General asked the FBI to consider using RICO laws to prosecute scientists and corporations who are “deniers” of global warming.  When this story broke people were saying, “This can’t be happening!”  In fact, we were contacted by one of the organizations that was being sued to assure it was, in fact, happening. Subpoenas had already been issued to global warming skeptic scientists, non-profit organizations, and companies like ExxonMobil.

We start with Dr. Tim Ball, who received Canada’s first Ph.D. in Climatology.  He is a frequent guest of ours and sets the stage of the pressures being exerted on climate skeptics and why. He discusses whether countries like Canada even have free speech anymore and how he himself has sued for his opinions because he is a skeptic of global warming. Keep in mind, Dr. Ball is merely a retired professor, not the head of some multi-million lobbying firm. He is just an individual who is telling people where his scientific research has led him. And for that he is being sued to shut him down from speaking out against climate change.

Then we welcome Myron Ebell, a former Oregonian from the Baker City area, who is the Director of Center for Energy and Environment of the Competitive Enterprise Institution a libertarian think-tank here in the United States.  They are one of the organizations that has been targeted by the Obama Administration and a group of Attorney Generals for daring not to believe in global warming.

The following is a list of USA attendees to Bilderberg 2016. Some will be no surprise at all (Sen. Lindsey Graham) but take note of the attendees from the mass media. They’re there as attendees and representatives to support and promote the effort of supreme globalism, to usurp America’s and all countries’ sovereignty.

While Bilderberg has garnered conspiracy-theory status, it’s rather odd—don’t you think—that if the elite are meeting just to “foster dialogue” then why is whatever dialogue happens secret?

According to author Daniel Estulin, the Bilderberg Group is an annual meeting of the world’s elite and most powerful to “debate the future of the world.” Regular attendees include “top figures from the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), IMF, World Bank, Trilateral Commission… the Federal Reserve, [and the] Bank of England.”

This weekend is Memorial Day. While Americans unite in our thanks to our fallen heroes, it turns out that Memorial Day didn’t start out as unifying at all.

In America today, it seems as if we’re constantly divided, perhaps because we are in a constant state of re-election and campaigning.  It used to be that when people got elected, we’d forget about politics for a couple years and expect them to just go in and do their jobs.  But it’s not that way anymore.  Everything is political because so much is tied to big government, whether it’s business or environmental or health care or what have you.

So with this constant state of campaigning—including our current President’s messaging that so often tied to something political—issues and people can get things ramped up and things can turn ugly during a primary season.

With the primaries basically over, and as the angry-emotional dust settles, we now have to get down to the business of unifying our party and our country.  And so I Spy searches for the answers and examples of how that happens.

Our first guest, Michael Long, Chairman of the New York Conservative Party, gives us the first set of answers regarding how as a party they co-endorsed, with the Republican Party, Trump as their candidate.  How did this happen? Our Constitutional rights are not forfeited once someone joins the military. Our brave military support and defend the Constitution.  But under Obama’s Administration and Hillary’s State Department the military has been reduced to a social Petri dish that has politicized all things—including orders given on the field of battle.  The politicians and bureaucrats’ actions are not only putting America at risk but is creating such a low morale that 90% of the military will not support Hillary and many of those will leave the military should Hillary be elected.

Last week we brought you the ugly story of a “conservative” news source blackballing a journalist because they were in line with the Obama administration on the narrative of Assad killing his own people in Syria, which wasn’t the case. This week, former SEAL, Carl Higbie, tells us his story about his commanding officers turning on their own troops in favor of a terrorist—and trying to ruin his career once he tried to tell the truth.

Carl shares with us the real-life experiences on the battlefield, the decisions that combat troops made to capture the second-most wanted terrorist, and the ugly betrayal those same troops met from their Obama-controlled commanders who tried to court martial them all based on the lies from the terrorist who accused them of “abuse” during his capture, all detailed in his latest book Enemies, Foreign and Domestic: A SEAL’s Story.  Listen to find out how the second most wanted terrorist, The Butcher of Fallujah, was able to manipulate the US Military into almost destroying his captors.

It’s not always big government we investigate.  Sometimes it’s “big environment” and this week, it’s “big media.”  We talk with author and political analyst, John Rosenthal, who covers European and transatlantic issues but has also extensively covered the Syrian civil war. John found out that if you don’t write what is the “approved narrative”—you don’t get published. And not just that, but they’ll try to destroy your reputation for daring to report the real news.

As Americans, we’ve always felt that we have freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Well that’s not exactly true.

After listening to John’s story and what happened with his relationship with the National Review, a “conservative” magazine, we find that censorship is alive and well—and it’s coming from both sides of the media elites.

Much like Washington insiders who bow to their donors, the news insiders now demands journalists bow to the Washington establishment who want to create a narrative to support their policy ambitions. Tune in to catch this fascinating exposé on what’s really happening inside the news industry.

What’s especially shocking is not that it’s conservative sources doing this. Tune in to hear how conservatives conspired with the Obama administration to create a false narrative in Syria.

And it continues. This week, establishment news sources like Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard find themselves on the outside of the primary process and are actively attacking the presumptive nominee. These are the same elite who demanded Trump sign a loyalty oath but now they’re attacking him? What’s their motivation or fear? Is it that the media elite are losing their power?

We discuss this with John.  But, even more chilling, are his accounts of how the news elites and the administration collude to use stories to create a political narrative—a narrative that has had deadly results. Just think about this: how many policies have we seen that are bad for America, but end up being good for the elite in power?

Oregon is in a world of hurt thanks to Democrat policies. Brace yourself for the coming train wreck.

We start off by talking with Lisa Lettenmaier of Health Source NW. Lisa is our “in house” expert on the insurance industry and the broader aspects of health care. She has been following the disastrous (for consumers) roll-out of Obamacare and its ugly stepchild, Oregon’s Health Care Transformation.

Tune in to hear her shine the light on Oregon’s insurance industry and why customers can expect to see huge rate increases in the next year.  There are some parts of the healthcare industry that are benefiting from Obamacare but it’s not the insurers as they face steeper and steeper declines in revenues.  Oregon has lost two more insurers in Oregon and another one on a national level.  Listen as we unpack the reasons they are leaving the state and what’s happening behind the scenes.

Oregon and Its Free-Spending Ways

Scott Jorgensen, the chief of staff for State Senator Whitsett, then joins us to share insights into the consequences of government attempting to push policies that force expensive programs (think Medicaid without federal funding).

The Oregon Democrat Leadership’s answer is to continue to raise taxes to pay for the spending spree.  Ask most Oregon voters and they’ll tell you that by our own state constitution we’re supposed to have a balanced budget; which, to many, means we don’t spend more than we take in. Well, not under Democrat leadership. It’s “balanced” because we borrow huge amounts to make it balanced.

Tune in to hear how much every man, woman, and child—all 4 million of us—are on the hook for under this new model of funding Oregon’s government.  And guess what? It’s only going to go up. Did you know we borrow money against Oregon Lottery Revenue? Talk about a gamble!
